This is a very nice 1979 fender Precision bass In Antigua. The serial number and pots date to 1979, but pickups are 1980 so technically a 1980 with the S9 serial number which is common. Here is a really nice '76 Fender Precision Bass in Black. Fretless maple neck. Interestingly the neck has a "76" serial number but the neck plate also has a late 75 or '76 number. Selling my 1983 Fender Elite Precision Bass ii, bought in 2023 from a very well known bass shop who have a showroom in Leeds . In exactly the same condition as purchased, when they rated it as VGC used. Neck is straight, frets are original and in good condition and the bass weighs in just under 9lbs. For sale : Original 1958 Fender Precision Bass
Restored about 12 years ago in California. This Bass has had quiet a few changes including a professional re-finish to the body and a pro re-fret. It was originally sunburst which is still some there in the pickup Calverty. Both the Neck and Body pencil dates are present, the pickguard is a replacement - I don't know if its Fender made.

I'm selling an original Fender Precision neck from the late 1960s. The B neck is thick. It is perfectly straight. The truss works. The tuners are tight and function perfectly. The nut is a newer bone nut. I suspect it has been refretted, but I'm not 100% sure.
The years 1968-1970 are known for Fender basses frequently having missing neck stamps.... more
