An absolute gem really rare in UK. I think it is either a 1971 or 1972 extremely rare Gibson EB-4L bass, based on the SG shape. Originally bought in 1972 and played by its owner in college bands, I bought it off him in 1991 when he moved to Solihull. I have never gigged it since, and for most of the last 33 years it has been lying in its case under the bed. Fender lead II, made in 1980 in Fullerton California U S.A in 1980 in all original condition. The finish is transparent wine red. The sound, as you might expect is fabulous. Hardly any fret wear, very mild buckle rash to the back. A tiny area of lacquer distortion by the scratch plate (see pics) This is a vintage guitar and has minor signs of wear. High quality bass made in Japan for the high-end "Professional" line by Hondo Heavy and sturdy mahogany body, 22 frets
Date of manufacture is between the late 1970s and early 1980s
Original DiMarzio pickups, the strings haven't been changed in many years might have rust traces

Vintage 1960s mahogany brown Japanese SG style guitar the maker is columbus the inlaid makers name was removed by original owner from headstock but I think probably to hide the fact it was not a Gibson at the time as there is no damage to the headstock itself and it appears to have had some paint touch ups but is not damaged in any way The guitar is otherwise in good condition with a few nicks and marks normal for a played guitar of over 50 years old The cradle appears to have had some work ... more
