Absolutely gorgeous early 1970s Wilson and Sons grand concert OM-sized acoustic from Japan. Interestingly, labelled as just ??Wilson?? inside. A rather under-the-radar brand, but associated with Hiroshi Yairi, son of Sadao and cousin to Kazuo of the famous luthier family. Watkins Dominator V shaped 17 watt 2 speaker combo (ie WEM) - the precursor to the Marshall sound - from early 1960's (pre '64, when the 2 speaker V shape was replaced) - crank it and it is a Marshall. Seems to be in pretty good condition and sounds glorious. Lovely tremelo as well (sorry, footswitch not included but I can include one that works if you pay the 'buy in now' price) .

1964 Watkins Mersey Super 15 .. made exclusively by Watkins for the Old Hessy??s music store in Liverpool. I understand that there was only 7 / 8 made. It sounds ridiculously incredible. Its original condition is pretty fantastic and it sounds epic!

Up for sale is a very rare 1970s Left handed Wilson Rapier. As you'll be no doubt aware, Wilson was formerly Watkins / WEM, and briefly had a plethora of updated models from the former line-up. One of those was the famous Rapier, and this is a superb example, complete with a natural wood finish, clear scratchplate, humbuckers, and a maple fretboard

Here is my 1969 Watkins / Wilson Rapier. It was around the name of the company changed to Wilson. If my memory serves me correctly, the serial number is from either 69 or 70. Purchased from Hank's Guitars in Denmark St, December 2007

I bought this from a collector last year . Before I bought it I had it checked by a good quality Music shop in our area . They replaced one faulty toggle switch with a Wilson toggle switch of the same type, checked all the electrics , added one new strap button and a new Tremelo arm, fitted a new set of strings and set it up for perfect intonation. The neck is of the fixed rod type but it is not warped and the guitar has a good playing action .

Quite a hard model to come especially in the 4 pickup version , please note that this is an original 60s model not a reissue.
The guitar looks to have been refinished at some point which has been really well done .
The electrics has been modded at some point with a couple of controls removed and addition switches installed but the pickups all work as it should so please take this into account if you intend on bidding.... more

Vintage early seventies strap handle
Made in west Germany, slightly different design to the normal strap handle that all the usual suspect used
