Okay. This is my Frankenstein bass. Everyone has one. I swapped out the Vox neck for a fretless neck I purchased online. It required some finesse on my luthier's part to pull it together. Sadly, the decorations and artwork are mine

Bass is missing original pickguard (we are trying to look for one in the meantime). Then as seen in pictures there are cracks in the clear coat NOT THE WOOD. Electronic are 100% fully functional and sound warm and thumpy!

If you are looking at this you know what it is. You will be hard pressed to find another one in this condition. This was recently obtained from an estate sale of a deceased musician and it appears to have been taken care of, however it does show its age as a 50+ year old instrument and has some finish imperfections including some clear coat chipping on the back headstock, some scratches on the serial number plate, and the back cloth snap cover has some fraying as shown in the pictures. This is an original 1960s Italian Vox (EME) wiring loom for the teardrop-shaped Stinger bass. The components included are three Italian Lesa potentiometers (2 x 100k, 1 x 500k), output jack, three-way switch and two Arco brand capacitors 0 047 and 0 10. In good working order. The pots are held in place by two metal spacer bars soldered onto their backs. One has come unsoldered, but otherwise all in good original condition.... more

1966 Vox Bassmaster electric bass guitar UK JMI. Unusual dark Sunburst finish. This has not been played so much and consequently is in pretty clean condition for its age. Still has the original co-ax output jack - you'll need the correct lead to use this bass. Complete and all-original. Five-digit serial number on headstock reverse. Neck date is December 1965.

For Sale Vox Clubman Short Scale Bass Guitar Vintage 60??S JMI Made in England. The 30" scale, twenty fret neck was ~ 1??" wide at the nut and had a zero fret and four individual open gear tuners. No truss adjustment was provided, the neck was reinforced with a steel rod. Very early Vox Bassmaster bass, pots date it to late 1960. These really early examples were basically copies of the very first Guyatone-built Vox guitars of the late 50s with natural finish, veneer front and back, and binding. Only very briefly available in 1960 / 61

Theres an AI description, but first: Its in road worn condition with dings and scratches. see photos. I think its all original, although I'm unsure that the knobs are, but they look cool. It plays really well and electrics are OK and crackle free. its on the heavy side, but feels balanced and always gets attention. A Growler tone wise, low end thump. Will include a soft case.
