Here we have a 100w solid state amplifier that came in in a J100 Jennings 4x12 combo from the late 1960??s
Looks to be the preamp section of the amplifier
I am unsure if it is a prototype or a custom built amp, I am also unsure exactly what it does!
It looks far too well made to be a homebrew amp, but having said that it doesn??t look like a standard Jennings amplifier. Your guess is as good as mine??

I think that this is a 1969 Vox AC30 - I purchased it in Dublin 1978-1982. It had previously been owned by a session musician. It has silicon diodes soldered across the back of the rectifier socket and has the T1088 'Bulldog' speakers - these are described in 'voxac30 org uk' as:

Vintage Vox T60 Bass Amplifier Head - 1960s. I bought it in 2007. It had a full service done when I bought it and has never been used since then. It was in full working order when I bought it in 2007. I've been waiting for nearly 20 years to find a matching speaker cab and never found one . Excellent cosmetic condition (see photos) pretty amazing for a 60 year old amp).

Unsure if the are factory or if they were installed by the lucky owner
Amazing condition for their age, no cracks to the rubber wheels and the chrome is nice and bright
There are heavy duty castors(the wheels are 3??) so ideal for a 4x12(or a 2x12) really smart looking
No bolts or screws just the castors
Buy them before I stick them on a cab and they are lost to the amp cave .

This is an amazing sounding VOX AC30, which is from the early 1960s. It is has been serviced and has been used for recording studio use. Service engineers are mostly all retired now, but it was looked after by John Chambers in Nottingham and John at Amp-fix and most recently a private amp service and valve amp builder in Wales who is from the 1970s era It has been in my possession for 30 years or more
