Hi,
I purchased this guitar around 2008 or so and haven't ever needed to set it up for my purposes
The somewhat crude shims to elevate neck and truss rod out of its intended pocket is the way the guitar came to me. It plays just fine for what I was using it for but I imagine it could be set up differently by someone who knows what they are doing.
The frets have always been flat and leveled but playable. Electronics might be scratchy and in need of cleaning. The pickups work! I've ... more

One of the most playable examples of these old MIJ guitars I've had my hands on. Low action all the way up the fretboard. Neck is straight (not 100% perfect, but really good for its age), frets are excellent, electronics are clean. New D'Addario 10s. Plenty of expected cosmetic wear throughout. Dings and scratches. I am selling a 1970's(?) full size acoustic guitar (with black chipboard case) for a luthier project. Made in Japan. I am not sure which factory this was made in. String action is appr. 3 / 16" at the 12th fret (look at last two photos for this). The neck is a very skinny width but with a greater depth (U shape). Reminds me of 1960's Kay acoustics I have had in the past with a baseball bat type neck.

Cool vintage made in Japan Teisco!
This guitar has a built in amplifier but it is not working. The rest of the guitar works and plays great but the on / off switch for the amp doesn't do anything and no sound comes from the built in speaker. It still works normally when plugged into an external amplifier though

This vintage Teisco Audition 7003 Electric Guitar features a slim hollow body made of maple, with a brown finish. It has a 5-string configuration and a rosewood fretboard. This right-handed guitar from the 1960s / 1970s is a unique find for collectors and musicians alike. Nice condition, all original and working as it should. I would say the only downside is that the tremolo arm gets loose rather easily, but it??s not that bad. If I missed any negative detail apart from the one I??ve mentioned, remember: it is used, and it is a vintage low cost instrument, so beware if you never owned one of these before.
But yeah, nice condition, serviced, and playing great.

Teisco EP-11
It doesn't get much cooler than this. Behold our 1950's EP-11 'Guiter' from Teisco! This is one of the earliest Electric guitars produced in Japan, built at the legendary Maruha Gakki factory in the mid to late 50's (exact dating impossible). The EP-11 was produced alongside a whole range of Archtops with slightly different specs, some had 2 pickups, some had different hardware, different F holes but they were all pretty similar.

Rare Kawai SA 150 Thinline MIJ 1967 in good condition. There are some marks and wear around body and neck. Topside binding has some repaired cracks. No holes or breaks to the body. Original bridge and tunes have been replaced to improve tuning. Tremolo and electronics are fully working. Truss rod works both ways. Straight thin profile neck with frets at aprox 70-80 %.

The strange thing about these knobs is that they only have the even numbers on them. No one makes them anymore so this is a find if you're trying to restore an old guitar

It features two single coil pickups with square raised pole pieces, a 3 way switch and two x vol , 1 x tone controls. The switching is slightly unusual , it's labelled Bass, Solo and Rhythm and the tone control operates in reverse to most modern guitars
It has typical Teisco style tremolo, a bolt on neck and quite thick semi body , somewhere between a 335 and and a Jazz box in width.

Laminate ply body thin body, approx 30mm thickness
It has scuffs, scrapes marks and indents but would be a good base for a project for someone. Overall good condition. I think some of the bridge mounting screws had sheared off when romved, the remnants are wuite deep but I think I can see them in a few of the holes

This is a vintage Kay E100 (same single pickup model as the one owned by Paul Simon) . It has a new p90 Wilkinson p / up and the original pick-up is included. It plays well and can do the cool Seasick Steve stuff as well as any other guitar. Currently strung for a mix of slide and chords / lead use Has had a new set of tuners fitted which are the same as the ones that were on the guitar - but of course the new ones work properly whereas the old ones were worn
