I purchased this guitar around 2008 or so and haven't ever needed to set it up for my purposes
The somewhat crude shims to elevate neck and truss rod out of its intended pocket is the way the guitar came to me. It plays just fine for what I was using it for but I imagine it could be set up differently by someone who knows what they are doing.
The frets have always been flat and leveled but playable. Electronics might be scratchy and in need of cleaning. The pickups work! I've ... more

One of the most playable examples of these old MIJ guitars I've had my hands on. Low action all the way up the fretboard. Neck is straight (not 100% perfect, but really good for its age), frets are excellent, electronics are clean. New D'Addario 10s. Plenty of expected cosmetic wear throughout. Dings and scratches. I am selling a 1970's(?) full size acoustic guitar (with black chipboard case) for a luthier project. Made in Japan. I am not sure which factory this was made in. String action is appr. 3 / 16" at the 12th fret (look at last two photos for this). The neck is a very skinny width but with a greater depth (U shape). Reminds me of 1960's Kay acoustics I have had in the past with a baseball bat type neck.

This is an original chrome all metal guard not a reproduction. It has scuffs and scratches, but is not warped or bent. Overall a very usable pickguard for your project.

Vintage Teisco Checkmate 22 Model CM-22 Solid State Guitar Amp Head
This mini original 1960's head is in real nice condition especially for it's age
Sounds surprisingly good and has a very nice warm clean sound. When you turn the volume and tone knobs to 10 it has a nice usable, light Americana type overdrive The reverb is not the greatest but adds a little something nice and tremolo sounds pretty intense

Nice condition, all original and working as it should. I would say the only downside is that the tremolo arm gets loose rather easily, but it??s not that bad. If I missed any negative detail apart from the one I??ve mentioned, remember: it is used, and it is a vintage low cost instrument, so beware if you never owned one of these before.

Unbranded Japanese hollowbody guitar. There's never been a name on the headstock but have seen them badged as Zenta mostly in the UK. At a guess I'd say it was made by Kawai, very late '60s, feel free to argue as nobody really knows the extent of the Japanese factory history that well! All original apart from new switch tip. Had a look inside and it looks untouched . Electronics cleaned and it all works as it should.

Vintage 1960s / 70s Jedson electric guitar telecaster neck, made in Japan by Teisco.
Used condition, played well and was nice and straight when strung to tension, obvious wear, especially on the first three fret areas on the fretboard
It has plenty of scuffs, scrapes marks and minor indents but would be a good project for someone.

It has scuffs, scrapes marks and indents but would be a good base for a project for someone. Overall good condition. I think some of the bridge mounting screws had sheared off when romved, the remnants are wuite deep but I think I can see them in a few of the holes

Super cool 1960s Teisco Vegas 66 wierd and wonderful Japanese electric guitar.
It features two single coil pickups with square raised pole pieces, a 3 way switch and two x vol , 1 x tone controls. The switching is slightly unusual , it's labelled Bass, Solo and Rhythm and the tone control operates in reverse to most modern guitars
It has typical Teisco style tremolo, a bolt on neck and quite thick semi body , somewhere between a 335 and and a Jazz box in width.

Old Teisco electric guitar that used to belong to my late father. This sat in the corner of his music room for decades and was always a lot of fun to play. It does need a bit of tlc now but both pickups are producing sound and the selector switches and knobs seem to work as they should. The action is low but the frets are very low so will probably need a refret. Definitely a bit of a project guitar.

Up for sale is this rare Teisco factory build Firstman Barney Kessel 12 string semi acoustic. The neck is straight and it plays extremely well and even more remarkable is the fact it stays in tune pretty well too. The original Biggs by style whammy bar has been replaced with a regular trapeze tailpiece because who needs a 12 string that is impossible to keep in tune.
