Only made for about a year around 1965 by Eko in Italy, this one is a player and a looker. Lots of honesty earned checking. Sounds great a feels great. Currently strung with nylon strings. Includes the original chipboard case. The handle has been broken and repaired. I would not trust the handle, but the case makes a perfect shipping case. I found it at an estate sale and I am selling it like I found it. Appears to be in decent original condition for the age and use of the instrument. Is what it is. We used to see these all the time in the pawn shops back in the late 80's early 90's and as guitar players we loved the fact that you could get them cheap. This one has the original 15" speaker which man has to be pushing 60 years old. the head comes out and must have a speaker cable (I think this is a mod from the original). Silvertone 1375 (early U1 series) made by Danelectro of Neptune New Jersey in either 1954 or 1955. The pots date to 1954. It's a solid body guitar with an aluminum bar that runs from the neck through body. It has a red tolex covering on the body and a white Lightning Bolt Silvertone logo on the headstock. The DeArmond ??hershey bar?? pickups have a very neat dynamic unlike many other pickups. They??re darker than the typical single coil, but are still capable of a tele-like twang in the bridge position. Good for blues, I think

Amp is in great shape, its volume knob is a little dirty and needs a clean. Its gets that crackling when you turn it sometimes, im not great at fixing vintage electronics so im not going to mess with it but when this used to happen to my tour amp i would just clean the knobs out and it would be fine. The tubes also work but probably need a change as well. It is all original parts and working

I had to part out a Silvertone 1413L a while back because it was missing one knob, original tuners and pickup and this is the last part left. Shows signs of aging and some usage. This variation is branded Silvertone and features the peanut body size, coke-bottle headstock, dual original lipstick pickups, stacked volume and tone knobs. A very cool find, 1960s Silvertone badged Kay Vanguard II which has been modded and refretted. Plays great, rich resonant tone and sustain and stays in tune too When I got this it was pretty sad, frets filed flat slipping / missing tuners and a tremolo that knocked the strings out of tune when you even looked at it. And the nitro finish flaking and peeling off the neck every time you touched it
