Here we have a great and rare amplifier - Last year of Treble N' Bass 50 Reverb
before going to silver face. These amps do sound incredible.
2x EL34 valves and the preamp valves are ECC83.
This amp has just been fully serviced by Jon Dickinson of
Dickinson Amplification in London. The ECC83s have just been changed

A Selmer Treble n Bass 50 amp with Selmer 'David' speaker cabinet. As can be seen from the photos both units are in nice clean, very original condition. Both units are in good working order. If you're a guitarist do not be put off by the 18" speaker, it is a full range driver that can also be used for PA use and so has a frequency response that easily accommodates an electric guitar - it does not lack 'top'. It's unclear how many (or how few?) of these cabinets Selmer made in the late 60s or early 70s and they are not listed in catalogues of the period. I've gone right through the Vintage Hofner site to see if there is any mention of them and there isn't. The only other one I'm aware of was listed a few years ago by a dealer in vintage gear who described it as sounding "truly special " . This lovely little valve amp ,built on a chassis base is all original and sounds great There are not many of these about ,rarer than the "Little Giant " , from the same stable Basically a practice amp, but could be used ,ideally as a studio amp for that 50`s / 60`s sound I`m loath to part with this little jewel but needs must as I am reducing my valve amp collection ,due to a house move I can courier this amp ,but would prefer collection.... more

If you know this amp you know it??s beauty and a thing of legend,
I have NEVER seen this head come partnered with an 18inch green back celestion speaker. EXTREMELY RARE.
I believe a valve has blown in the head so this WILL NEED A REPLACEMENT AND SERVICE and I shall reflect this in the price.
