Hello, You are looking at a rare 4001S Rick bass in mapleglo. The S stands for set neck. The Bass has a dot neck and mono output, no binding. The finish was removed from the fretboard at some point. There is a screw replaced in one of the tuners. This is by far the lightest Rick bass I have ever owned it weighs just over 8 lbs. It comes with an aftermarket hard shell case. Here we have an interesting vintage Rickenbacker tube amplifier from the 1950s. This one most closely resembles an M-11 amp with a 12" Oxford speaker, single mic input and dual instrument inputs. This sale is of my (circa 1970s / 80s) Rickenbacker TR25 watt combo amp, the sale being for no other reason than the fact that I have another identical one, in equally excellent condition, and cannot justify keeping both of them

All electrolytic capacitors replaced with quality Vishay caps. Ready for its next 50 years of use!
New power switch - some previous owner had fitted a micro toggle and what looked like a magnetic door closer as a spacer! All back to original now including the polarity reverse.

In June 1981, this Rickenbacker 4005 was resprayed from its factory finish to Autumn Glow. Purchased new in 1982 from A & D Music, Wangaratta, it has had one original owner. Electronics remain untouched and original. The bass shows some fingerboard checking, minor cracks in the fret markers, and a couple of knocks on the front, but overall it looks and plays beautifully for a 44-year-old instrument
