An early bowl or melon back mandolin. Tag marks this as a Washburn. In overall good used condition with some wear. There are some hairlines on the back side. Has broken / missing strings, but they will all most likely need replacing. Some wear and marking to the face. The MOP inlays look good, fretboard does show some wear. Nice overall.

For sale is an amazing 1910's era Washburn Round back 8 string Mandolin with original case. This Mandolin is in great shape! Very little wear on the instrument, finish is still shiny and glossy. Serial No 18502 indicated on inside label. While case is sturdy and functional there is some wear to it, see pictures for details. Handle is broken off of case. Lyon & Healy Company made this Washburn, Logo embossing seen on case. It will be hard to find one in this shape.... more

This vintage Washburn guitar has seen some play, but is still in very good shape for being as old as it is. It's not as big as a regular guitar, but quite heavy for it's size
It has fine overall scratching (example shown in picture 8), a few surface marks and some light dings
Pickups have some rust and discolorations
It was found through testing it, that the top pickup (closest to the neck) needs replaced
Missing one knob and the vibrato bar, but both should be easy to replace ... more

I'm cleaning out a long closed Western Ma. luthier shops inventory , Today I have another one from the "to do" pile. It's a Washburn dasant ( dasant is a French word for dance ) 19 fret vintage tenor banjo with a beautiful flange and tiger maple banjo neck. Hollow body electric, played well. Sounds and looks great. The case has some wear and tear on the outside but it??s a hard case and it??s cultured / traveled with personality. This 1980s FV-10V is a used guitar with many small dings and chips, with a good dent in between the pickups, and a name scratched on the back of the guitar (see pics). Guitar has been played during the years, and does have some ware on the frets, but it does play and sounds great with the original Select made by EMG, rare Kahler style surface mounted tremolo, no trem bar, no string buzz. 1935 Washburn Lyon and Healy era Improved Banjolin with rare Nickel silver spun over raised tone ring 11 in. pot and Grover tone ring installed . This instrument was found in a closed down Music store in Cicero Il. it had a busted head and the neck was off the body for some reason. All I did was clean it off and I found an 11 in Fyberskin head that fit fine. Oiled the wood put that bridge back on ( sanded it down a bit). This is the wonderful "Washburn Woodstock EA20" acoustic-electric guitar which was produced between 1987-93. I remember buying this guitar at my local music store in the late 80s, and playing it for about 10 years before putting it back in its case for the last 25 years (that's marriage, work and kids for you eh!?). This is a relatively rare MIJ model made for 3 or 4 years from 1982-85. The build quality and materials are pretty good. Solid body, black gloss finish with ivoroid binding which has some dings. Medium D profile neck with a dark rosewood board. 21 medium frets in good condition, 25 5?? scale. Washburn Parlor Series R314KK, Vintage Series (later called the Revival Series)
Produced between 2014-2017. This has a vintage style stain finish, but unlike some of their models it is not a distressed finish.
