Vintage guitars for sale: vox hurricane

This is an original set of 6 Vox Nickel plated guitar tuner bushings. These were found on many (but not all) Vox (Made in Italy) guitars from the mid 60's and into the 70's.

Correct for many vintage Vox guitar and bass models. Please do your own research to determine if it's right for your instrument. Some scratches on plate. Original screws are included. Overall the plate is 2 9 / 16 inches by 1 9 / 16. The measurements from center to center of the screw holes are 1 15 / 16 of an inch by 15 / 16 inch. 1 3 / 4 inch screws.

The guard is yellowed, and does have one chipped corner, but it's in better shape than most of these. The chipped piece is held on with scotch tape. There are brown stains on the guard. I could not remove them. The guard is not warped. These guards tend to shrink so it may not fit your guitar without creating new screw holes in your body

This body came off of a vintage VOX SPITFIRE model guitar, but it's the same body as used on Hurricane model. Lots of checking, nicks, dings, bumps, bruises, and scratches. It's in rough shape but not cracked. Finish removed from area under tremolo. Who knows why. Weighs 3 lbs 4 oz. $30 shipping is for USA Continental 48 states only. Certainly NOT mint, but it's a cool, light weight vintage body for your project.

This body has two extra routs (one where the switch would be and one where the bridge pickup goes ) You won't see these things once a pickguard is installed. There are several nicks, dings and paint chips, but there isn't the heavy checking that you usually see on these. Despite the nicks and dings, it's actually pretty clean for the age. This Neck came off of a vintage 60's Vox Italy Spitfire model guitar, but it's the same as used on Hurricanes. The frets show wear, and fingerboard shows wear and scratches. There's bubbly lacquer at the base of the neck, but that won't be seen since that would fit in the neck pocket. There's checking. Truss rod works. This VOX solidbody guitar was made in Italy between 1965 and 1967, and can be assembled as either a Spitfire or a Hurricane depending on whichpickguard assembly is installed
As shown in the photos, the sunburst finish on the body hasheavy checking and wear ?? an authentic relic. The neck, however, is in quite good condition with original frets and isplayable even with low action. (EKO-madenecks are known for stability )

Vintage Vox Hurricane Mid-1960's Electric Guitar Natural Refinished Good Condition
This has been stripped and refinished (not me) and they did an ok job. Looks like it may have been oiled, looks good. I don't think they came in natural finish. Small piece of pickguard gone as is common with these, the pickguard shrinks and they break. Pickup selector switch knob is a .22 shell. No tremolo, it has obviously been converted to a hardtail. Hi! I am selling my used 1960s VOX Hurricane Electric Guitar. The guitar has a beautiful color to it and feels really nice. The guitar has cracks in the paint and there is wood missing from the nut area. When I bought the guitar the whole first fret buzzed but after getting my luthier to take a look at it he was able to make it play nicely again!
