Here we have a great and rare amplifier - Last year of Treble N' Bass 50 Reverb
before going to silver face. These amps do sound incredible.
2x EL34 valves and the preamp valves are ECC83.

It's unclear how many (or how few?) of these cabinets Selmer made in the late 60s or early 70s and they are not listed in catalogues of the period. I've gone right through the Vintage Hofner site to see if there is any mention of them and there isn't. The only other one I'm aware of was listed a few years ago by a dealer in vintage gear who described it as sounding "truly special " . Rare matching head and cab of a killer vintage all original amp, made famous by the Brits. Bought from my good friend Joe Dobson of josephkaye guitars, he had it serviced by Ted Wood of Ted Wood amps so it??s in top shape. All original parts including the PT, valves & speakers (Goodmans).

A Selmer Treble n Bass 50 amp with Selmer 'David' speaker cabinet. As can be seen from the photos both units are in nice clean, very original condition. Both units are in good working order. If you're a guitarist do not be put off by the 18" speaker, it is a full range driver that can also be used for PA use and so has a frequency response that easily accommodates an electric guitar - it does not lack 'top'.
