Original Selmer case for Hofner Guitar, Mid-Late 50's. Not sure which model Hofner guitar, but the measurements are 43" long, 17" across and 4 1 / 2" deep. Case has Tolex wear on rear bout, both top and bottom, and a few spots elsewhere, but overall for it's age not too bad. All latches work, original handle. There were a few areas where the wood seam was separating, I was able to repair them with Wood glue and clamps, problem solved. No more separation in the seams.... view on ebay

Yes, this is a cool old 3 / 4 size "Combo" brand guitar (model 8432) and in near-mint condition, but THE REAL PRIZE IS THE TUNERS! These are plain Waverly gears but they're for full-size guitars and are the same tuners used on lower Gibson models and other major brands in the late 1930s, '40s, and early '50s. (Waverly tuners didn't change much over the decades, and whatever factory made this Combo probably had leftover supplies of tuners )

The back of the body is splitting away - could easily be glued and clamped.
A couple of splits to the top of the guitar body. How repairable or stable they are remains unclear to me.
Bridge is lifting slightly but not a surprise for its age and having steel strings (flatwounds) on it currently.
Sound hole and end of the fretboard has been bodged at some point to accommodate a floating pick-up.

An early 1963 Stratocaster with rosewood fingerboard. Body refinish, replacement 5-way switch and pickguard but otherwise largely original and in remarkably clean condition. Lightweight at 7 4lbs (3 3kg)
The black nitrocellulose refinish reportedly dates from the early '70s. The refinish has itself now aged and has wear consistent with that time frame. From what I can see these weren't used post 1964
These push in and are the correct spec for any croc skin era Selmer amp / cab; so that's the zodiac, Goliath, bass master, thunderbird etc etc These will of course fit later and earlier Selmer cabs

What I can tell you is, it works I can show you it working. It's loud. it's all original, I've owned it from the early 80's, and being a gigging amp it needs some minor attention such as: handle (one of the end covers is missing), two knobs ( originals lost on the road and substitutes fitted). standby neon in switch does not illuminated, and mains cord needs re-securing ( I would suggest replacing as this amp is about 50 years)
