This stunning 1979 Favino guitar is a prime example of a REAL vintage Django Reinhardt style Gypsy Jazz guitar! It was crafted during the transitional phase of the Favino workshop. This amp is completely original. Not one component has been changed. It has its original and highly desirable Celestion G12 alnico with Pulsonic cone which is in mint condition. Fantastic, rare Selmer Twin Bass 30 valve combo. A bit of an oddball and all the better for it. The 30 watt valve head sits on top of the cabinet in a steel box and contains a pair of EL605 power pentodes, an ECC83 and a GZ34 rectifier valve. It all works. If I was keeping this (I'm not as I quite like being married) I'd replace all the electrolytic capacitors, and check and replace as necessary the other components too, as it's over 50 years old. This amp was bought as a project and has been reconstructed with receipt of the work done. Due to the condition it was in and parts it has been rebuilt from 100watt to 50watt but this doesn't affect the classic sound. The tremelo effect sounds great (Bo Diddley / Link Wray tones). Selmer Treble N Bass 50R SV Guitar / Bass amplifier in excellent working order. Both channels working as they should. Reverb working. Case has been re-covered at some point with a thin vinyl covering, which now looks rather tatty (but I think also rather cool). I've had this for a number of years. This is a beautiful guitar. One of the early set-neck Hofner Coloramas with a gorgeous translucent cherry finish and the long single sided headstock. All original down to the slot head screws. Not too much playwear either. Finish is pretty good. There are some dents and dings but far less than on a typical 65-year-old guitar. Frets look pretty good. Plays nicely. Selmer Wau Wau Machine, 1970s vintage wah-wah pedal   In good working order with marks and signs of use commensurate with age   Battery power only   One of the two rubber bumpers under the lever is missing - they're a simple push fit and one has pushed off - but it doesn't affect the operation of the unit. The main pot is a little bit crackly so could use a squirt of switch cleaner

In overall good condition for age but is in need of some simple TLC Two tuning pegs missing, the nut is missing, the bottom strap button is missing and there are a few scuffs and scrapes!
As with all my listings, I take lots of pics of the actual item for sale (I do not use stock pics!), so please take a moment to carefully scrutinise them all! What you see is what you get!

Not played for years, but recall
it having a gentle, warm tone. Attempted to replace the strings without much success. Managed to break one of them, -it could possibly still be used?, -remaining other 5 intact strings of the new set included
Comes with a (new) carry case
Minimal degree of wear, - one very thin scratch and one or two tiny indentation marks. Otherwise in a glorious and glossy state

Lovely Selmer catalogue from 1966 full of many great names like Gibson, Hagstrom Hofner etc, even Beatles guitar strings!
In very good used condition for its nearly 60 years of age, the staples are intact and attached, just a few marks as to be expected. 36 pages, complete and full of information (and such low prices compared to some values now).
These brochures are very collectable now, hard to find in this condition, and costing less than the other one in my photos.

Pedal plays just as it did back in the day. Have given it a spray for the pots to make it a smooth and quiet as possible. This hasn??t been modded or messed with since I??ve owned it (25 years). Just not getting the time I would like on the instruments so it??s time to pass it on to a fellow muso. Batteries have been taken out to stop corrosion.
