before going to silver face. These amps do sound incredible.

Fantastic, rare Selmer Twin Bass 30 valve combo. A bit of an oddball and all the better for it. The 30 watt valve head sits on top of the cabinet in a steel box and contains a pair of EL605 power pentodes, an ECC83 and a GZ34 rectifier valve. It all works. If I was keeping this (I'm not as I quite like being married) I'd replace all the electrolytic capacitors, and check and replace as necessary the other components too, as it's over 50 years old. This is very difficult to identify and put an exact model to. I have owned this cabinet for years and it has had very little use in the time I??ve owned it. I??m not sure if it??s the build quality of that era or if it??s had any modifications but please see images for reference.

It's unclear how many (or how few?) of these cabinets Selmer made in the late 60s or early 70s and they are not listed in catalogues of the period. I've gone right through the Vintage Hofner site to see if there is any mention of them and there isn't. The only other one I'm aware of was listed a few years ago by a dealer in vintage gear who described it as sounding "truly special " . Selmer Tremelo Treble and Bass 100
This amp was bought as a project and has been reconstructed with receipt of the work done. Due to the condition and parts it has been lowered from 100watt to 50watt but this doesn't affect the classic sound. The tremelo effect sounds great (Bo Diddley / Link Wray tones). Lovely Selmer catalogue from 1966 full of many great names like Gibson, Hagstrom Hofner etc, even Beatles guitar strings!
In very good used condition for its nearly 60 years of age, the staples are intact and attached, just a few marks as to be expected. 36 pages, complete and full of information (and such low prices compared to some values now).
These brochures are very collectable now, hard to find in this condition, and costing less than the other one in my photos.

Pedal plays just as it did back in the day. Have given it a spray for the pots to make it a smooth and quiet as possible. This hasn??t been modded or messed with since I??ve owned it (25 years). Just not getting the time I would like on the instruments so it??s time to pass it on to a fellow muso. Batteries have been taken out to stop corrosion.
