Vintage 1930s Kalamazoo KG-31 archtop acoustic guitar made by Gibson. This 1930s KG-31 has a bound neck and a bound pickguard and is 100% original. The old Kluson tuners work pretty well considering their age; the D an G string tuner knob shafts are bent. The Brazilian rosewood bridge is set as low as it will go. A few previous repairs have been performed. A loose back brace, along with side cracks, were glued and clamped. Neck I got in a trade that I don??t have a use for at the moment. Seems to have been refinished at some point. There is a bit of a lip where the finish reaches the fingerboard and they taped it off, could use some sanding.

Throw it on a Kalamazoo or make a new body for it.

This example features a 16" lower bout, 25" scale length, chunky rounded neck profile, trapeze tailpiece and floating bridge. The Kalamazoo KG solid body electric guitars were produced between 1965 and 1969, in, as the name would imply, Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. The Kalamazoo KG1 has one pickup, and were respectable entry level instruments, aimed at the student guitar market. This one is in Las Vegas Blue and appears to be all original with the Gibson trem system still intact. Everything works and it was just set up so it plays fantastic!

Vintage 1968 Kalamazoo KG-10 (made by Gibson). similar to the LaG 0 model model in Gibson's regular lineup. great shape for a 50 something year old guitar-you do the math. from what I know they were only made between 1965 and 1969, don't quote me on that but I believe it to be true. There has been a modification from the previous owner. There was an additional stop tail added to the body to function alongside the wraparound bridge. I'm cleaning out a long closed Western Ma. luthier shops inventory and will be selling a lifetime collection of mostly vintage musical instruments and parts. Today I have a Black Kalamazoo KG II pick guard that is marked 67, but I can't verify this. I'm pretty sure this will fit many 1960's versions of this Gibson made budget line electric guitar. This is an original 1960s Kalamazoo KB bass pickguard (made by Gibson in Kalamazoo). It is in pretty bad shape, glued together in various places, with cracks, slight paint residue, split screw holes and minor warping. Have a good look at the images all damage / repairs is there to see. However, it is an original 1960s part and could be used if you have nothing else (you could also strengthen it with a backing of some sort) or as a template to make a new one.
