1930's Kalamazoo KG-11 made by Gibson
I've had this guitar for several years and used it in Open G for slide with light gauge strings. It was detuned when not in use. As you will see this is a survivor and has the traits most 1930s to 1940s guitars have being scratches and dings and is in need of a restoration to play fretted notes without high action. I spoke to a luthier and he said the crack in the top is something he has seen on old acoustics from years of the pickguard and wood vying ... view on ebay

Neck I got in a trade that I don??t have a use for at the moment. Seems to have been refinished at some point. There is a bit of a lip where the finish reaches the fingerboard and they taped it off, could use some sanding.

Throw it on a Kalamazoo or make a new body for it.

I'm cleaning out a long closed Western Ma. luthier shops inventory and will be selling a lifetime collection of mostly vintage musical instruments and parts. Today I have a Black Kalamazoo KG II pick guard that is marked 67, but I can't verify this. I'm pretty sure this will fit many 1960's versions of this Gibson made budget line electric guitar. Unfortunately there is a crack between the control holes. For this reason I have not even dusted this. It goes together tight, and I'm sure any ... view on ebay

This is an original 1960s Kalamazoo KB bass pickguard (made by Gibson in Kalamazoo). It is in pretty bad shape, glued together in various places, with cracks, slight paint residue, split screw holes and minor warping. Have a good look at the images all damage / repairs is there to see. However, it is an original 1960s part and could be used if you have nothing else (you could also strengthen it with a backing of some sort) or as a template to make a new one. It is old and battered but they are ... view on ebay
