Up for sale is a 1977 Ibanez 2402 doubleneck guitar in walnut finish. When these were introduced in 1974 they had headstocks that more closely resembled Gibson's. But we all know how that ended up (ahem lawsuit ). By 1977 this was changed to a revised Ibanez design. The original pickups on this guitar have been replaced over the years. I am selling a 1962 Ibanez 1901 4 string short scale electric bass guitar. This has a real baseball bat neck! Super thick neck!
Except for the disintegrated pickguard needing replaced as well as the control pots and jack, this bass guitar is in a very good condition, cosmetic wise.
Selling as a repair project because of the pickguard repair needed, plus setup work at the least and possible neck straightening at the most. I've got a case for it (somewhere).

Great bass. Lightweight and easy to play. Straight neck, low action, frets look good with minor wear, truss turns, electronics are clean. Strung with D'Addario Chromes. There's the expected wear for a 40-year-old instrument; some dings and dents (a couple of which were touched up), there's a crack in the paint on the back, light wear in the fretboard, patina on metal bits, etc. When I bought the bass there was some airbrushed art on the pickguard that wasn't budging with acetone or Goo Gone. An Ibanez ST-924 from the Fujigen Factory, Japan in 1980 / 81 which is in great condition for its age. Frets are in good condition too.
A previous owner replaced pick-ups with more modern Ibanez pick-ups around 2007.

I have had this for years and frankly don't recall precisely which bass it came from. Has some wear as to be expected from a 50+ year old part, but generally in pretty good shape. Reads 9 98K.
