Great bass. Lightweight and easy to play. Straight neck, low action, frets look good with minor wear, truss turns, electronics are clean. Strung with D'Addario Chromes. There's the expected wear for a 40-year-old instrument; some dings and dents (a couple of which were touched up), there's a crack in the paint on the back, light wear in the fretboard, patina on metal bits, etc. When I bought the bass there was some airbrushed art on the pickguard that wasn't budging with acetone or Goo Gone. I am selling a 1962 Ibanez 1901 4 string short scale electric bass guitar. This has a real baseball bat neck! Super thick neck!
Except for the disintegrated pickguard needing replaced as well as the control pots and jack, this bass guitar is in a very good condition, cosmetic wise.
Selling as a repair project because of the pickguard repair needed, plus setup work at the least and possible neck straightening at the most. I've got a case for it (somewhere).

Up for sale are two vintage bass pickups and harness. From my research, these pickups were made in Japan in the early / mid 60??s. Until recently they were installed in a 50??s Gretsch acoustic archtop, and had been there since purchased new. They actually worked well in the archtop, but would probably be suited better for bass. These pickups and harness were in working condition when removed.

If you looked up 80's metal in the dictionary, I'm almost positive you'd find a picture of this bass. Everything about this guitar is aggressive. The sharp angles, the headstock, the tone, the color. A fantastic vintage relic from 40 years ago. It has been played quite a bit over it's life, and has numerous dings, paint chips, and scratches to prove it

brilliant Ibanez Roadstar ii from 1983. added better bridge and tuners to replace broken worn out ones. it currently has a warman p pickup in it due to the original being faulty (will include original in sale) only the volume is connected but is easy to wire a tone on if needed. frets are crowned so no apparent dead spots. the neck and body are worn in the usual places (it's 42 years old) but just adds to the vibe. also features Ibanez boomerang pegs and knobs. comes in a hardcase

I have had this for years and frankly don't recall precisely which bass it came from. Has some wear as to be expected from a 50+ year old part, but generally in pretty good shape. Reads 9 98K. not too familiar with ibanez serial numbers but this looks to be the single pickup version of the RS900 but it had been chopped out for a neck pickup when I got it
it's got Wilkinson pickups with a push / pull, original tuners, can't remember what the bridge is but not original

Ibanez Musician MC924, made in Japan in 1982.
The original pickups were replaced with vintage EMG active pickups. The top was nicely adapted with wood and a flame maple veneer, and painted transparent red.
The neck was sanded at some point, so now it has been nicely re-finished with nitrocellulose lacquer, looks glossy and feels smooth.

The pickups were replaced. The ones it has now are an Artec bridge single coil pickup, and a neck pickup I don??t know the brand of, with a 13 48 impedance reading. They sound good.
A flame maple veneer was added to the bridge pickup, the body top, and the back of the headstock, all refinished wine red. It looks really good (but it??s not 100% perfect?? but again, really good)
