This is another very rare early production Ibanez solid body Bass from 1962-4??their 5th year in business. Its Dark Brown??burst is quite attractive over a solid mahogany body. I'm truly privileged to have met Norman Beaker a few weeks back, when he offered me his old guitar. This bass was taken by Norman and his son to the Alexis Komer Memorial Concert at Buxton Opera House on 21st May 1995 and signed by Jack Bruce himself. An iconic bass made in Japan in late 1984, the DT-870 was Ibanez's flagship model Destroyer bass that was made in very limited numbers compared to some of their cheaper offerings.
