You're looking at a good Greco Violin Bass Guitar made in Japan  We don't know anything else about this other than we think it's a 60s / 70s era  Everything works properly. The electronics were recently cleaned up (though the switches are still a bit scratchy), a proper setup was performed and a fresh set of flat wounds have been installed

Works great but has lots of cosmetic wear. Neck is straight, truss turns, action is low, frets look great, electronics are clean. Truss cover is non-original and only has one screw since the holes don't line up. There's lots of wear and discoloration in the paint. Dings and scratches throughout. Worst offenders pictured. This rare vintage violin-shaped, Hofner Beatles style 30" short scale bass guitar has been identified as model VB-300 by Fujigen Gakki, made in Japan c. 1968. This is a pretty rare bass from the famous 1980s 'Mint Collection' range made for Greco by Fuji-Gen - they don't come up for sale very often. Some of the later (from 1990?) models are designated as 'Clear Sound Project' but, judging from the headstock inlay and the tuners, this is a 'Mint Collection'. The serial number dates it to 1985
