1923 Gibson "The Gibson" Model L-1. I purchased this guitar years ago as a Vintage Gibson Collector. This guitar was owned by the fantastic musician M Ward and was used on various recordings on his early albums. This is one of the best, playable Gibson L-1 guitars I have ever seen. This listing is for a Vintage Gibson Archtop Guitar Pickguard. The pickguard was marked as coming off a 194 Gibson L4-C but this was in a large collection of parts so we cannot confirm that. The pickguard is modified and has been notched for a pickup. As best I can tell this pickguard would have originally come with a L4-C, L5-C or L7-C amount other models and appears be made in the sometime in 1940's 1950's or early 1960's. 1930's Cromwell archtop acoustic guitar made by Gibson, repaired and restored
The Cromwell model is very similar to the Kalamazoo KG-31, and has the same neck and body specifications, other than a few modest appointments, like the large MOP dot neck inlays and the neck center stripe. The Cromwell was made exclusively for export during the 1930's to Canada and England. This one seems to have made it's way back home, and in need of extensive repairs and restoration

1939 Gibson L-7. Classic, vintage archtop guitar with the sound that will bring you back to the 30's. Sounds fantastic. No cracks, finish looks great, so does the binding. Classic piece, no modifications that I am aware of except likely a new pick guard (to be expected) and maybe end pin. Some minor nitro-webbing does occasionally occur near the pickguard, but only seems to appear during low humidity.
