The old Kluson tuners work pretty well considering their age. The Brazilian rosewood bridge is set as low as it will go, but despite the low bridge height, the string action at the 12th fret is fast enough that the guitar is very comfortable to play all the way up the neck

1939 Gibson L-7. Classic, vintage archtop guitar with the sound that will bring you back to the 30's. Sounds fantastic. No cracks, finish looks great, so does the binding. Classic piece, no modifications that I am aware of except likely a new pick guard (to be expected) and maybe end pin. The Harmony H62 (c. 1957)?? Basically the poor musician??s Chuck Berry guitar. Big sexy full-depth round cutaway electric archtop with single coil Gibson pickups. Of course, for one-fifth the price there are a FEW differences. Only 16?? instead 17?? as for the ES 350. And it IS a Harmony and NOT a Gibson. Those Gibson P-13 pups were eventually replaced over in Kalamazoo by the new P-90 and farmed out to other companies. It is a 16" instrument with a hand carved spruce top, figured maple back, figured maple sides, figured maple neck, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, and trapeze tailpiece. This Gibson L-5 Special appears to have shipped on February 7, 1937 to Volkwein's Music in Pittsburgh according to the Gibson ledgers. The store still exists to this day as a family owned business. The serial number also appears to be a repeat of one that is on another L-5 (not a special) that shipped in 1936 that has a different factory order number. I purchased this 1926 Gibson TB-3 archtop, ball-bearing conversion banjo in July 2001 from the Mandolin Brothers shop in Staten Island, NYC, and it remains in excellent original and unaltered condition, the neck notwithstanding. It includes the original hardshell case that came with it
The serial number stamped into the rim matches the serial number that was chalked into the resonator on the day it left the Gibson factory
