1958 Fender Duo Sonic in its original Desert Sand finish

Someone attempted to route this guitar and cut off a good amount of the wood under the pickguard. Please study all photos for proper understanding of condition

The pickups on this guitar are not the original pickups, the pickups are Custom Shop Seymour Duncan Antiquities that were put in more recently. Aside from the pickup switch, everything underneath the pickguard has been replaced.

Really nice and honest vintage Fender Musicmaster in rare Cherry Red with Mahogany body. Fender did a run of guitars with mahogany bodies and cherry finish kind of like Gibson! Up for sale is a 1960s Fender short scale guitar hard case. For Musicmaster, Mustang, Duo Sonic. Works fine; it has lots of tolex wear. The center block is detached. No big structural issues or missing hardware. Latches work fine; the center clasp is floppy.... more

A 1958 Fender Musicmaster that has been refinished into its desert sand white color and also adjusted to have two pickups like a duosonic.

The two pickups are original 1958 duosonic pickups that have been added to the pick guard. New routes were made in the this original music master pick guard for all the new controls. Pots are not original. Finish peel on the original neck finish right above the string nut, just aging finish.

Neck is as seen in photos. This is an original 1960 fender duo sonic neck. This neck has definitely been loved and in the right ways. The back is played to perfection and the amount of smokey bars it took to become that yellow / orange, I could only imagine. I believe the ferrel holes have been widened slightly.

To begin, this started life with an Olympic white finish, as is evidenced by the paint in the electronics cavity. At some point in the last 62 years, it had been taken down to a natural finish. The original Red '64 body was replaced with this original Blue '66 body. Stunning example of a Pre-CBS Fender Duo-Sonic. Most of the wear looks as though it's from sitting in the case as it's not in the usual play wear areas. With lots of light finish checking and little dings here and there, virtually no wear to the neck and minimal fret wear. There is a small cigarette burn to the front of the headstock and the Fender logo is completely intact. 1962 Fender Duo Sonic. Guitar is in very good shape, some fret wear, mostly on the first 5 frets. All original except for input jack, original included. Original case in fair condition. Owned since 1966. Input jack was replaced around 2010. Overall the guitar is in good shape, just changed the strings.
