Vintage Black 1987 Charvel Jackson model 3B Neck-Through Bass Guitar with Original Hard Case.

The guitar was made in Japan. Pickups are labeled EMG. Serial number is located at the bottom of the fretboard

It is missing the back cover plate. It has a few dings and buckle rash, but otherwise looks good for its age. Case is ugly and a bit beat up but solid.

Not a re-issue, not a tribute issue, not a custom shop issue, but a real original, one-of-a-kind, vintage 1983 USA Charvel with matching, sequential number on both the Body and Neck. Fabricated and assembled by the same master luthier with the initial of JR - often, rare vintage Charvel guitars does not have matching numbers - This is the rare of the rare! This listing is for one (1) Gold Charvel TM San Dimas waterslide decal. YES, the carrier film is the shaped material that forms the visible outline. You don't cut this out like homemade decals. I never had a problem applying these.
I will note that because these are old and dry, I dip these in the bowl for about 10 seconds then remove and let rest for 1-2 minutes to really allow the adhesive to liquefy. Using a decal setting solution like Micro Set really helps too. I used one recently ... more

what we have here is a slight mystery
When I acquired the guitar, i was told that the original owner had bought this guitar brand new in LA in 1983, used it for years in the studio where someone carelessy broke the headstock and as such it was replaced with a "Made in Japan" charvette neck
Now whether it is a genuine American Charvel with a different neck OR Japanese made Charvette, i honestly cannot say

1980s / 90s (1989 -91) Charvel Avenger offset flying V made in Japan
In good condition , its a used guitar with small marks , minor indents, scuffs and scrapes and signs of pre ownership around the body, generally the condition is good for the age. There are the typical chips to the finish on the pointy corners and the top E tuning head is missing its back cover
