A wonderful and extremely rare non-cutaway archtop Gibson tenor guitar with a 16?? maple body under dark stain on the back and sides, and with a sunburst on the spruce top. Great Jazz guitar! This was Yamaha's top fo the line hollowbody in the early 1970's, all parts were made in house by Yamaha. Maple body with spruce top and maple neck. The tailpiece has a sort of embossed leather that says "Nippon Gakki " . Inlaid arrow fret markers and a beautiful finish really set this model apart!
This guitar sold for 180, 000 Japanese Yen new, that's equivalent to $4000 in today's dollars!

The Harmony H62 (c. 1957)?? Basically the poor musician??s Chuck Berry guitar. Big sexy full-depth round cutaway electric archtop with single coil Gibson pickups. Of course, for one-fifth the price there are a FEW differences. Only 16?? instead 17?? as for the ES 350. And it IS a Harmony and NOT a Gibson. Those Gibson P-13 pups were eventually replaced over in Kalamazoo by the new P-90 and farmed out to other companies. A lot of work had to be done on this 70-year-old guitar:
- The headstock was broken at some point, now it is fixed. I applied a lot of stress tests, it is very sturdy
- A wooden front plate was added to the headstock, along with a modern logo.
