This 1970 Gibson Barney Kessel is one of only three confirmed examples I know of that has all solid wood construction, featuring a solid carved spruce top and a solid carved, flamed maple back. others being a 1965 BK Standard and a 1968 BK Custom. This 1965 Gibson L-48 represents the entry level Gibson acoustic archtop. Despite this, these guitars can have a really nice sound, and this one certainly does. l have for auction a beautiful vintage 1950s Famos archtop six string guitar believed to be made in Holland by the Egmond guitar company. Finished in a stunning tobacco burst, it's quite a rare model, particularly in this condition

All original and in amazing condition. Please take into account, it is a very old instrument, so it has a some blemishes and signs of use and age, like lines on the lacquer at the wood joints
A previous owner installed green fretboard side markers, and sanded around them a bit (check the pictures).

Vintage Archtop Guitar

Quirky old 1972 Guyatone with a booster switch and two p90s. They run on the hotter side especially with the booster - love using the neck for jazz and there is heaps of depth and personality in the tone but it was actually intended as a rockabilly guitar. If you put roundwounds on it, it sounds great playing twangier, snarly material.

Comes with a stock Bigsby style bridge - I have the arm off for storage but obviously included in sale
