Vintage guitars for sale: 1979

The Vantage VP-750 Matsumoku Ghost, also known as The Paul clone, is an electric guitar from 1979. This project requires work. The previous owner stripped / sanded the finish off of the front & back. The guitar then sat for several years and as a result the wood began to separate. There are splits all around the sides, and a seam separation on the top at the lower bout. These are shown in the photos. These will need to be filled and a finish applied. It has 2 pots and a jack of unknown ... more

Vintage 1979 Original Fender Jazzmaster Jaguar Hard Case. Has some scuffs and scratches on outside but looks really nice. Aluminum banding at each end is a bit out of alignment (it isn't bad and I have close-up photos of each end). All latches are in good shape. Case latches up tight. Could not find any cracks or holes. This is a mostly original 1979 Gibson "The Paul" with original hard shell Gibson branded case. The bridge pickup back in the day was swapped with a Dimarzio Super Distortion. The neck pickup is original. It has a brass nut, which I'm guessing isn't original. There is light play wear, but overall a very nice guitar, it feels and sounds great. Frets look healthy; neck is straight, plays perfectly

Nicely made superstrat from a fine era for Japanese guitars. In very good condition and playing very well with a quality setup. Is the highest quality Tomson branded guitar I have owned. I don't know if the pickguard and pickups are original. Pickups are the Japanese super distortion clone type and sound really good. Gotoh Kluson style tuners and big block tremolo.
