I bought this 1978 custom Les Paul from the the owner that has had it since 1982 and I??ve had it two years. He said it was stock except for new nut a long time ago. I looked it up and the chainsaw style case was an option starting in 1977 the case works great and is very secure. It's difficult to capture the beauty and craftsmanship of this rare 46-year-old guitar in these pictures. The finish is worn on the pickups, there are tiny dings and scratches that don't show up well in photos, look closely and see small chips in the binding and a tiny chip in the nut at the first string. For sale is my 1977 Les Paul Deluxe in wine red. In excellent condition, plays beautifully. This had a Bigsby tremelo professionally fitted before I bought it 20 years ago. since then the Bigsby has been replaced with a brand new one. The bridge has been replaced with one with graphite saddles, this helps it stay in tune when using the trem, it works really well

Genuine 1978 Gibson RD Artist electric guitar. Owned by me since 1988. Around 20 years ago the Moog circuit board was removed to unleash the tone of some of the most powerful humbuckers ever fitted to a guitar by Gibson. The circuit board and pots were however retained and could be easily refitted if required. The nut was reset and re-cut some time ago to improve the action. In all round good condition, not a re-issue

This is the reluctant sale of my beautiful RD bass. Originally natural finish, and now in this lovely quasi-sunburst. It looks like mocha in low light, but has this cool orangey glow when lit up. The pickups and knobs are original, and the electrics have been redone with a full professional set-up

These are rare birds, dating from near the end of the Norlin period of Gibson ownership. The S-1 was a sort-of attempt at their own version of a Strat, with a bolt-on neck (with V headstock), 3 single coil pickups and some rather strange switching options

Sweet sounding and playing old resonator. Made in America.
We are a small guitar shop in Totnes Devon called Castle Guitars with 40 years experience. I used this guitar on my Western Morning News album by Jimmy Pinch, on the last track called Rosie Lee's which has a resonator solo at the end. I used it because it's a nice player with a nice neck and a great tone. It records really well and it has a very strong beautiful sweet sound
