Here's a nice, full size, dreadnought, black dove copy acoustic guitar that was made in Japan in the '70s. This does not have a maker's logo on the headstock or in the sound hole. This guitar was recently restrung with D'Addario .12s and the fretboard was cleaned up. This sounds nice and plays well with slight wear on the frets. I am selling a 1970's(?) full size acoustic guitar (with black chipboard case) for a luthier project. Made in Japan. I am not sure which factory this was made in. String action is appr. 3 / 16" at the 12th fret (look at last two photos for this). The neck is a very skinny width but with a greater depth (U shape). Here we have an Ovation Case COVER for the old brown cases made during the 1970's and 1980's. It is made of thick reinforced vinyl, and the zipper works well. All of the feet are there, and the logo is nice and sharp. The only issues I can see are one scape and several very small snags. Examples of the snags can be seen in the last picture and smaller areas can be seen in other pictures. If you want your guitar to be completely original, you need one of these. Thanks for looking!

This is an original vintage Hagstrom Viking II in Blonde, made in the late 1960s to early 1970s (serial 732069). It has the classic semi-hollow body, bolt-on neck and rich blonde finish that these early Vikings are known for. The guitar is all original as far as I can tell. This Encore Bass is not quite what it seems .It may have Encore written on the Headstock but the body parts of the Guitar are in fact Japanese made in the late 1970's by the same factories that made Jedson's and then put together in the early 80's, giving it that Matsumoko look inspired by a 60's Burns!

On offer is a vintage early 1970's Japan-import Epiphone Dreadnaught Acoustic FT-145 Texan guitar project. The Serial # is a six digit sequence and is '440586'. The exact dating of Japanese Epiphones is somewhat uncertain but this guitar has the early Blue label inside the soundhole as described in the following extract, with 'Made in Japan' printed on the label, indicating the guitar was made between 1972 and 1975
