Presented for your consideration is this Vintage Silvertone Guitar. The number stamped on the inside reads 3974H602 making this a Harmony Silvertone H602 manufactured between 1956-1959. I found it at an estate sale and I am selling it like I found it. Appears to be in decent original condition for the age and use of the instrument. This vintage Bassman has the original tweed covering, grill cloth and all of the main components are original. Some capacitors have been changed. One of the speakers was bad and has been replaced, but the same style Jenson from the same year was used. Amp is in great shape, its volume knob is a little dirty and needs a clean. Its gets that crackling when you turn it sometimes, im not great at fixing vintage electronics so im not going to mess with it but when this used to happen to my tour amp i would just clean the knobs out and it would be fine. This is an original 1959 Fender Tweed Champ amp 5F1 w / an original Jensen speaker dated to the 47th week of 1958. Its factory label is perfectly intact & dated ??IB?? for February 1959. The tweed covering is a bit tired mostly on its bottom side in need of some re-gluing. Its grill cloth is quite nice. 1959 double cut had the neck broken but not headstock. When repair was done, the old neck pickup slot was filled in and new slot was routed. That's why a 60s pickguard fits. Refinished so inked serial number is gone. Chunky 50s neck. New frets, neck is straight, trussrod works, Lindy Fralin hum cancelling P90s, new pots, not original tuners. I've had a few of these and this is on the heavy side. I don't know the exact weight. Hard shell case included.... more

1959 Hofner Committee, a relic! In very good cosmetic condition. I cannot comment on the electronics because it has not been played for many years and I do not have an amplifier. In original condition except for the addition of the Bigsby and the original pickups, which were replaced in the 1970s with more modern Hofner ones. Amazing rare vintage Hofner 495 from 1959
I've had this guitar for ~ 8yrs, I played it regularly in the first year, and hardly at all since, it hasn't been played for at least 3 yrs. It's been sat in a hardcase without strings since (CASE NOT INCLUDED)
There are a few issues that should be noted, please see photos :
- There are a few white paint flecks in various spots, like this when I bought it

Very early model dating to 1959 .

This is an early President with the serial 5210 which dates it to 1959. It has the desirable blonde finish, original Compensator tailpiece , floating bridge and Celluloid scratchplate.
