Silvertone 1375 (early U1 series) made by Danelectro of Neptune New Jersey in either 1954 or 1955. The pots date to 1954. It's a solid body guitar with an aluminum bar that runs from the neck through body. It has a red tolex covering on the body and a white Lightning Bolt Silvertone logo on the headstock. There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. This Guild X-350 was made in the original Guild factory in Manhattan, largely by craftsman who had come over from Epiphone following a strike at the factory there. Guild was founded near the end of 1952 and this guitar was made in 1954, the first year of this model. 1954 Gibson BR-9, this was the BR-9 that came out before the GA-9 and after the original BR-9 was no longer being made. This BR-9 has the identical circuit as the newer GA-9 with only a couple minor changes. This model also has the original 10?? This is a vintage 1954 Fender 5D3 Tweed Deluxe that came right before the 5E3 iteration. And yes, it still retains its original canvas cover from Victoria Luggage Company in Los Angeles, California. This guitar and its original case are time capsules. The original stencil artwork looks as it did when new in 1954. Case does have a little wear around one of the edges, and there is a puncture as shown in the picture. Other than that, the case is an amazing condition. Original 1954 Stratocaster pickup cover in polystyrene (aka "Bakelite " ) used only for the very first years, from 1954 to early 1957
The remaining structure is in good condition with no cracks or repairs. The top side has been lost over the years, however it is usable because the side part protects the winding leaving visible the black base of the pickup exposed (see the photos of the cover installed on the pickguard)
