Here we have a wonderful vintage 1954 Fender Deluxe 5D3 Amplifier! This wide panel tweed model is in very good overall condition and good working order. It is serial number 3665 and has DL stamped on the tube chart. The speaker code is 220446 and the transformers look original. It has a replaced handle. Uncle Lou here, and you are admiring a rare set of Bakelite pickup covers from a late ?54 Strat. These are the 3rd generation Bakelite parts produced in 1954 and ran until early 1957. They're made from the same opaque white material as the 2nd generation Bakelite parts from mid-?54, but produced with a new mold yielding sharp edges and different markings underneath. This is a vintage 1954 Fender 5D3 Tweed Deluxe that came right before the 5E3 iteration. And yes, it still retains its original canvas cover from Victoria Luggage Company in Los Angeles, California. Therefore, this iteration of the deluxe features a lot of the same highly sought after tonal shapes and historic overdriven sag as the 5E3. This Guild X-350 was made in the original Guild factory in Manhattan, largely by craftsman who had come over from Epiphone following a strike at the factory there. Guild was founded near the end of 1952 and this guitar was made in 1954, the first year of this model. This great guitar is an original Guild Model X-150 from way back in 1954 . While this is mostly original , it does have what appears to be an aftermarket tailpiece, and it had a modern aftermarket truss rod cover, which we have removed. We are trying to find a cover that is more correct, but for now it is photographed, and it is being sold without a truss rod cover The bridge is correct, but it just looks too new for me to call it original. This 1954 Epiphone Zephyr Regent represents the base version of the electric cutaway line by Epiphone at the time. It features the same electronics as the higher end versions, the "New York" Tone Spectrum pickup. These pickups can vary somewhat in tone. This particular one sounds superb through a clean amp, giving a classic jazz tone.

There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. 1954 Gibson BR-9, this was the BR-9 that came out before the GA-9 and after the original BR-9 was no longer being made. This BR-9 has the identical circuit as the newer GA-9 with only a couple minor changes. This model also has the original 10?? This is a 3-tube amplifier using 5Y3 rectifier, 6SJ7 preamp, and 6V6 output. I replaced the old filter capacitors with 600 volt electrolytics. Pulled from an early 50??s Fender tweed lap case but pretty sure these are the same used on the 50's side pocket tweed cases, check the measurements to be sure. Most vintage Strat / Tele cases had the keyhole incorporated into the slide mechanism but I have seen this style used sparingly.

Custom heavy aged 1954 black guard Telecaster: A fantastic reproduction of the Holy Grail of Telecasters by MJT Guitars in Carthage, Missouri. The early 2000??s build included a swamp ash body from MJT, with neck, control plate and pickguard from Fender. Original pickguard for a 1954 ?? 1959Fender Stratocaster. There is a crack and a small part is missing near the slotfor the switch. A thin layer of plastic (0, 5 mm) is glued underneath tostabilize the pickguard. As it is loose at some points, I assume that it can beremoved without any problems
I got the pickguard in thiscondition about 20 years ago.

Original 1954 Stratocaster pickup cover in polystyrene (aka "Bakelite " ) used only for the very first years, from 1954 to early 1957
The remaining structure is in good condition with no cracks or repairs. The top side has been lost over the years, however it is usable because the side part protects the winding leaving visible the black base of the pickup exposed (see the photos of the cover installed on the pickguard)
