ONE 1954 5D6, 5E6, 5E6-A FENDER Tweed Bassman TRIAD 2820 output Transformer. This is a clean working unit. There is a bit of varnish on the leads from the V P.I. process where transformer windings are submerged in hot varnish and then pressurized with air to force the varnish deep into the windings. It's a solid body guitar with an aluminum bar that runs from the neck through body. It has a red tolex covering on the body and a white Lightning Bolt Silvertone logo on the headstock. 1954 Gibson BR-9, this was the BR-9 that came out before the GA-9 and after the original BR-9 was no longer being made. This BR-9 has the identical circuit as the newer GA-9 with only a couple minor changes. This model also has the original 10?? This guitar and its original case are time capsules. The original stencil artwork looks as it did when new in 1954. Case does have a little wear around one of the edges, and there is a puncture as shown in the picture. Other than that, the case is an amazing condition. And the coloring is superb for being 75 years old. the guitar has a few nicks and scratches in a couple places as I've shown in the pictures, but in general, it is an outstanding example of the first year. They're made from the same opaque white material as the 2nd generation Bakelite parts from mid-?54, but produced with a new mold yielding sharp edges and different markings underneath. This Guild X-350 was made in the original Guild factory in Manhattan, largely by craftsman who had come over from Epiphone following a strike at the factory there. Guild was founded near the end of 1952 and this guitar was made in 1954, the first year of this model.
