This incredible guitar was discovered in the back of a climate controlled storage unit from a local storage auction in Dallas, Tx, along with a few other instruments. Here I have a 1952 Gibson Es-125 Electric guitar. I call her a "Survivor" because several repairs have been made and they are not too pretty. The guitar is very sound, stays in tune, has wonderful vintage Gibson P90 tone. The order number stamped inside reads Z2186 3. The Z specifies that it was made in 1952. I have been told this Kay model 72 was made between 1952-57. It is in great cosmetic and playable condition. No repairs done or needed. Action is great, neck set is solid, frets and fret board also great very few cosmetic issues. Some minor dents but nothing thru the finish. There is some finish wear from the first to third frets on the side if the neck. I??ve owned a dozen of these when I had a store but I??ve never personally seen one in this great condition.
