One of the most playable examples of these old MIJ guitars I've had my hands on. Low action all the way up the fretboard. Neck is straight (not 100% perfect, but really good for its age), frets are excellent, electronics are clean. New D'Addario 10s. Plenty of expected cosmetic wear throughout. Dings and scratches. Nothing major. It's missing the trem arm and spring. I see a replacement on Amazonf for $8 under "Bstinay Chrome Plated Tremolo Arm " . Not sure if the V / T knobs are replacement. ... more

This is an extremely rare, (due to its translucent blue finish), Mosrite Celebrity III electric guitar made circa 1971 (but could be as early as 1968) at the factory in Bakersfield California. It is a beautiful, double cutaway, thin, hollow body instrument. The bass is an overall great shape with some minor wear where the arm goes over the upper bout, there are some chips in the paint near the neck joint shown in the pictures, and a spot of wear on the lower belt edge near the control plate as shown in the pictures. This is a neat early production 1964 Mosrite Ventures Bass w / all its 1st issue bits by Semie himself. Its Sunburst finish is rich & clean other some weather checking all over but its very intact & quite nicely patinated. For your consideration here is a really cool vintage 1960's Mosrite style semi hollow body guitar. Likely Made in Japan, there is no label, manufacturing info or serial number.
This guitar was previously owned by Paul Gilbert. He played this guitar (and 99 others)on the song "I Like Rock" from the Burning Organ album. I purchased it from Cowtown Guitars in 2001 or 2002 when Paul was consigning instruments with them.

Made in Japan late 60s Sakai guitar. In the style of a burns or mosrite. It seems to have replacement tuners and I can get sound out of the neck pickup only, bridge pickup is currently non working. Sure it??d be an easy fix for someone who knows what they??re doing.
