This is a really beautiful clean instrument. This is the ES-335 style thin line body. This come with the cool trapeze style tremelo system. The pick-ups have the staggered 3 and 3 pole pots with nice decorative trim rings. The guitar is all 100 % original and is in good playing condition A true tine capsule. I rarely see this. Last year for Matsumoku guitars, this 1987 Spectrum 2 showcases their build for a shredding superstrat guitar. Very low action and heavy metal tone Is just what the doctor ordered. A great player with several bumps and chips as shown in pics but just cosmetic. Very little fretwear on neck. Missing Allen wrenches, locking nut blocks and screws and no trem arm. Incredible condition Vantage Avenger. No chips. All original, with the transparent rubber ridged knobs. Serial dates it to September 1984. Push pull on the tone controls. Everything works as it should. Still plenty on the frets, no fretboard wear, no cracks in the neck pocket. Sounds great.... more

It is in beautiful condition, only a couple of very small cosmetic details can be seen around the body (see last couple pictures) , but it is virtually in mint condition. These Japanese axes are something else! No wonder Gibson filed a lawsuit. My main guitar is this model but in brown. This is my spare in wine red. I recently had it serviced with new Grover tuners and bigsby Trem. The Bigsby is mounted on a Vibramate plate to avoid having to drill holes in the body, and it works great.

Branded CSL for Charlie Summerfield Limited who were a UK importer and distributer of many products, this guitar was made in the Fujigen Gakki plant in Matsumoku, Japan in the mid 70's as evidenced by the spec which includes pre-lawsuit 'open book' headstock shape.
Cosmetically, this guitar appears to be based on the 1960 version of the Les Paul standard with gold reflector knobs and a slim neck which closely resembles the current Gibson '60's' profile.

Aria Pro II Cardinal series CS-350 in See Thru Red. Made in 1981 at the Matsumoku factory Japan. Really cool guitars ( Kurt Cobain played, smashed and burned a CS-250) and are one of the best guitars to come out of Japan in this price range.
