Up for sale is a rare in the US 1959 Levin model 123 acoustic steel string guitar. 12 fret 000 body. Solid spruce over solid birch. Ladder bracing. Rosewood fretboard and bridge. Here is a 1950's Goya (Levin) G-20. Restored. It has a solid maple body and a solid spruce top. The top's center seam has been repaired and cleated as has the crack on the bass side lower bout. The back and sides are crack-free. The rosewood bridge has been re-set and is solid and tight to the body. The has been re-set. From the serial, this is a 1934 Levin (a Swedish company, whose guitars were sold under the Goya name over here in the 1960s) model 252 The various features and sound of this guitar reminds me quite a bit of the old 20s and 30s Gibson blues boxes, also small bodies with floating bridges. 1959 Levin model 123. These are excellent ladder braced guitars, very responsive and quality woods used. Spruce top, with great grain and birch back and sides. Nice chunky neck. Serial number dates this as a 1959. Sounds somewhat similar to gibson LG1s and kalamazoo models but at a fraction of the price

She's a relatively early model in Levins' 'Goliath' (dreadnought) range made in 1960 according to the serial stamp embossed into the headstock
Let's be fair, this piece is 65 years old! So realistically very good condition in context and by comparison to her contemporaries
Tone is magnificent, well dried and no doubt sweetened by some serious and honest use
