For your kind consideration is this vintage Kay K64 A-Style mandolin in sunburst from the mid-60s. It's in excellent condition with normal signs of age and a few well earned dings here and there. It has an internal stamp of L4487 464, which does not give any insight to the year, but does lend to the model number. Ready for your project! Here's 2 DEARMOND SPEED BUMP pick-ups. These were found on several of the KAY guitar models including the famous SPEED DEMON. The original wiring harness in still intact & includes 2 volume & 2 tone potentiometers. I did not see a date or pot code. The input jack is not on the harness but I will include on in the auction. Nice condition, all original and working as it should. I would say the only downside is that the tremolo arm gets loose rather easily, but it??s not that bad. Kay KB-24 sunburst bass body. It's a PB style bass body. Year unknown. Fair few dings and scratches all shown. Will include the neck plate and ashtray bridge cover. There are additional screw holes where a modern PB style scratch plate was attached. These are covered by the original or vice versa
Scratchplate included with pickups. It's not currently soldered into the ground wire or attached though. There's a broken screw in where the pickups go that you can work around. Electrics all work ... more

Kay KB-24 bass neck, maple. The truss rod is threaded so it's beyond me to adjust but you might have the tools / ability to deal with it. It has a pretty significant back bow hence the truss rod being a problem. Otherwise in reasonable shape. One of the tuning pegs is a little bent but it all tunes up and hold tune OK. Frets aren't looking too bad, need a clean up to remove some corrosion but otherwise not bad. Needs some ... more

This is a lovely "naturally" reliced 1963 Kay Jazz 2 .Its from 1963 and has all the desirable appointments like
USA bigsby vibrato ,kelvinator Art Deco style headstock ,original Grover tuners , " kleenex" style
pickups etc , its been refretted a few months ago and plays perfectly .Truss
works electrics work its a lovely guitar and also the same model Eric Clapton had with the same block , not
