Early- to mid-1950s Kay K-22 jumbo flat top acoustic. Solid spruce top, with back and sides of laminated mahogany. Ladder braced. Bridge was totally mangled (brass bolts / nuts had started to pull up from excess tension) but replaced with an NOS Kay bridge from the same era. Slight and stable risen areas on the top behind the anchor bolts, but I contoured the new bridge over these for better fit. Very minor. Nice case .great fit for Les Paul Junior double & single cut. case pocket is detached, all latched and hinges are good. The handle is fine. The stitching is all good. Measures 13 5 inches wide at the lower bout, 9 25" wide middle waist, 9 75" wide upper bout, Body length 23 inches long, overall 39 5 inches long and Three inches deep. Good to very good condition. Body certainly has wear and blemishes for being over 60 years old. It was just professionally tuned and cleaned up, neck adjusted, bridge adjusted, pots cleaned and electronics serviced, new end pin. It has all original parts as far as I know. Nice condition, all original and working as it should. I would say the only downside is that the tremolo arm gets loose rather easily, but it??s not that bad. If I missed any negative detail apart from the one I??ve mentioned, remember: it is used, and it is a vintage low cost instrument, so beware if you never owned one of these before.

Kay KB-24 bass neck, maple. The truss rod is threaded so it's beyond me to adjust but you might have the tools / ability to deal with it. It has a pretty significant back bow hence the truss rod being a problem. Otherwise in reasonable shape. One of the tuning pegs is a little bent but it all tunes up and hold tune OK. Frets aren't looking too bad, need a clean up to remove some corrosion but otherwise not bad. Needs some work that I don't have the time to put in at the moment.... more

A refurbished Kay 320. I have too many guitars and get get and fix more all the time so choices need to be made
The neck was reset a couple of years ago to get the action down and has been under tension so it stable
The tuning peg buttons were a mess so it has replacements
The adjustable bridge was a mess so I replaced the saddle and it has an new bridge. It's probably intonated better than when new. I'm pretty sure that I also gave it a new nut as the original was chipped. ... more

1960s Kay Vanguard single pick up. It??s been restored and set up really well, I bought it a year ago in a beautiful guitar shop in Denmark. Not the original pick guard or tone / volume knobs. everything else is original. Sadly I??m not using it as much as I ought to and I need to sell some music gear to make space. Really sad to let this go but I??m sure whoever buys it will take good care of it!

Great playing guitar. Recent fret level and dress and setup. The usual wear and tear you??d expect from a guitar this age and the coating on the pickup covers is peeling slightly
Pickups sound great, bridge is a little on the quiet side, but the neck is full and warm

As weird old guitars go, this is one of my favourites we've had in the shop. Finished in sonic blue that has checked and aged beautifully during this guitars lifespan. Tuning stability is good for one of these, it plays beautifully and has all the vintage Teisco eque sounds you would want from it

Vintage 1960s Teisco pickup, made in Japan and taken from a Kay 'K' branded guitar , other parts in my other listings. This pickup came from the bridge position but I think it would suit any position with this type of pickup
