I bought this new in 1964 and used it regularly gigging clubs and dance halls mainly across south Wales and the midlands of England in the mid 1960s. After some research i finally nailed it down, it is the senator as it says on the label. The S for selma company the E1 for electrics the model is 5124 / 05 the number 544 is the production number off the line. The pick up was redone by HOFNER to keep originality of the part there was a long wait 6mths and a cost of £120 00, the headstock features the original mother of pearl not the plastic which is on some that where produced in that era .On the back of the headstock is factory written in ... more
