It is in really excellent condition for a 65 year old.
Original tuners, pickups and electrics. The scratch plate looks like a replacement. The finish looks like new - it has likely been professionally restored at some point.
OHV is offering our only accoustic fat body committee For 60 years of age it is in remarkable condition. There are some scratches, in fact quite a few all around the body. Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. Around the side srew of the pick guard is a little touched up area and on the backside bottom edge where the ornamentel inlay ends is a tiny patch of dopped out laquer. Hofner Committee engraved machine head, probably the only one on the planet for sale, treble side of the 3+3, having a clearout and found this in my box of "bits " , complete with all screws The nickel plating has worn off in places leaving the brass showing, I have it on good authority that these covers can be re-nickel plated. The pearloid button looks pretty light and clear in the pictures but in reality it is a bit darker, the light was shining through it when taking the pics. ... more
