Vintage guitars for sale: Hofner Committee

All parts are original, except the output jack which has an obvious repair job around it
The finish shows signs of age and wear, consistent with a well-used vintage instrument.
There is visible wear and tear, specifically areas where the finish has chipped or flaked off, revealing the lighter wood beneath
The top of the headstock has wear, and two of the tuning pegs are broken

OHV is offering our only accoustic fat body committee
For 60 years of age it is in remarkable condition. There are some scratches, in fact quite a few all around the body. Cosmetic and with the nicely darkened laquer they give the instrnent this wonderfull patina. Around the side srew of the pick guard is a little touched up area and on the backside bottom edge where the ornamentel inlay ends is a tiny patch of dopped out laquer. In very good vintage condition with the original case. Very nice playing condition. No buzzes. All original. Small glue splodge on the pickguard. Can probably be removed. (See photos)

1964 Hofner Committee semi acoustic arch top guitar. Beautiful blonde natural finish with gorgeous Birds Eye maple back and sides, and spruce top, and mother of pearl binding. Lots of checking and blemishes. Heavy checking and dings on front of guitar and top of headstock. Totally overhauled electrics, now all working perfectly. Ebony fretboard. Plays and sounds amazing. This was the 40th Hofner Committee to be imported into the UK (serial number 2040) the body is pencil dated 20 10 1953. It has been confirmed as being either a late 1953 or early 1954 import.
Sadly this was part of my dad??s proud collection but unfortunately I??m a left halthough a tough decision, it would be a shame for me to keep it, especially as it is a very playable guitar with great action and tone. So as beautiful as she is, she needs to go to a home to be played and adored. ... more

1959 Hofner Committee, a relic! In very good cosmetic condition. I cannot comment on the electronics because it has not been played for many years and I do not have an amplifier. In original condition except for the addition of the Bigsby and the original pickups, which were replaced in the 1970s with more modern Hofner ones. As the guitar is from 1959, it does not have a truss rod in the neck. The case in the photo is not included, but a simple one can be found. Nothing to report, please ask if... more
