We are very pleased to offer this extremely rare early production 1957 Hofner Club 40 serial # 163 in fine all original condition. This appears to be from the Selmer UK distributor. Its beautiful glossy blonde small semi hollow Les Paul shaped instrument with deluxe multi-ply black binding in contrast to the beautiful glossy blonde lacquer finish over the fine German spruce and flamed maple back and sides, all of which is 100% original, no touch up or refinishing. Sehr seltene, frühe Club 60 aus 1959. Noch mit kleiner Kopfplatte, bar pickups und ohne Trussrod. Ein Neck-Reset wurde bereits durchgeführt. Die Gitarre spielt sich gut und intoniert sauber. Die Elektronik auch in Ordnung, das ist nicht immer der Fall bei diesen Gitarren. Bünde haben stärkere Spuren und könnten zur Perfektionierung der Bespielbarkeit abgerichtet werden. Vintage guitar still in very good condition for its age. All electrics are present, though the knobs are currently stuck due to the guitar standing unused for many years. Two loose wires will need soldering

Vintage 1958 Hofner finished in blondea model famously associated with John Lennon, George Harrison and Eric Clapton to name but a few. This is the significantly rarer '1-pickup' version, and is incredibly light at under 4lb!
