Fair condition 1968 Gibson SG Special in a yellow refinish. This is a very cool and aggressive example of a nicely modded late 60??s SG Special. No breaks. Bare Knuckle P90 in the neck. This is a 1967 Gibson SG Special in Alpine White
Ok, the bad stuff first. It has had Grover tuners installed. It is missing a fretboard marker which is an easy fix, I just can't find another marker that I'm happy with the look of. The original lightning bolt bridge is long gone and has been replaced with a Music City Bridge which is as good as it gets. The studs are the Music City locking studs also, although the original studs are included

This is a bit of a strange guitar. I think it started out as a white Special that was converted to two humbuckers. I got it in poor condition about 25 years ago and refinished with tung oil and Behlen's musical Instrument lacquer. It looks like someone routed out the middle and put a piece of wood in then routed for humbuckers. They did a good job looks like routed from factory. Early 1972 Gibson SG Special in Cherry Red. Made in USA. The cherry red has faded to a dark walnut color. However, there is still evidence of the cherry red underneath the pickguard, pickup mounting rings, and the back of the body and neck is slightly more red than the front.
