This is a 1967 Gibson SG Special in Alpine White
Ok, the bad stuff first. It has had Grover tuners installed. It is missing a fretboard marker which is an easy fix, I just can't find another marker that I'm happy with the look of. The original lightning bolt bridge is long gone and has been replaced with a Music City Bridge which is as good as it gets. The studs are the Music City locking studs also, although the original studs are included

Dates for two of the pots are visible in the photos??other two pot dates are obscured by solder joints. This is a great case for any original mid 60s Gibson SG- Standard, Special, Junior, or Melody Maker SG.
The exterior is sort of a black-pebble texture.

Up for sale, a 1974-1975 Gibson SG Special. The serial number is 172, xxx and the pot code looks to indicate 12th week of 1974. It's probably a 1974 guitar but could also have been built and sold in '75 if the parts were hanging around

I??ve owned this beautiful 65 sg special for 23 years. The case has half a latch missing as in pic. Trem arm was removed and was put in the case. As it was getting in the way. In 65 Gibson narrowed the headstock nut size to 1 9-16ths making it a super action neck. No breaks, has checking and dings as a 60 year old guitar would.
