In 1969 I was very fortunate to see Jimi Hendrix in Nuerenburg, Germany He played a Strat for all songs except for Red house when he went behind hisamps and came back playing a white Gibson SG Custom. Wow!! I had never such abeautiful guitar! I had to have one. Living in Germany it took 3 months forshipment from the States (which is a very long time for a 16-year old). Here is a really cool one owner late 1960's Gibson SG Custom in Walnut. The last of the good old 60's SG Custom's. This one is in nice condition and is playing well. This is one of two left-handed Gibson SG Custom guitars ever produced in this configuration. In May of 1968 two of these SG Customs shipped from the Gibson factory. Right from the start we have an incredibly rare axe.

Up for auction is a rare original '64 / '65 vintage SG Pickguard. This was originally a Standard guard which was cut for a Custom 3 pickup SG model w / top portion removed (See pics). The screen printing has worn off this set, although you can still clearly see the "volume and tone" imprints if you look closely. One tone knob has a chip in the rim. Still functional - but we have discounted this set and priced accordingly due to this.

1970s (I think??possibly 69?) SG Custom.
It??s in good condition, it does have some knocks and scratches but considering its age it??s been very well looked after.
Comes in original hardcase.
No original paperwork with it.
This guitar has been refretted , and some work done with electrics, including a single coil split with one of the pickups.
Plays really well and sounds great, with original pickups.

Very rare original vintage Gibson hang tag owner's manual from the 1960s - 70s. It has not been filled in so you can put it with your cherished Gibson guitar and nobody will know it didn't come with it
It is also not model specific so it can go in a case with a number of instruments from this period
