This Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cutaway was made in the USA in 1977. It is a great playing and sounding vintage Gibson. The guitar shows normal play wear but no structural damage. The finish is original and in good shape. The original P-90 pickups sound great. There are some changes - the bridge, tailpiece, knobs, and pickup covers are newer parts. Also, a previous owner installed a mini switch into the pickguard. This has been removed but required a hole in the guard and routing ... more

It??s had a refinish so that obviously puts it in the player grade range. The refinish is decent and you can still see some woodgrain through the semi transparent finish.

Lucky??s story begins in one of the most chaotic and least??documented moments in Gibson??s history: April of 1961, the narrow window when the company was phasing out the classic Les Paul single??cutaway and preparing to launch what would soon be known as the SG.
