Up for sale is a 1965 Gibson LG-1 acoustic guitar. This guitar is in fair to good condition. It does show normal signs of age and use, including scratches, dents and dings. The finish on this guitar is crackling, over most of the guitar. There are small holes on the front of the body where I suspect the pick guard use to be. The tuners have also been changed out, and the original tuner holes are exposed. There are no cracks to the body or necks. There is light fret wear.

I have owned this guitar since 1970. All parts are original except the bridge (I assume) since it is plastic and non-adjustable. I purchased the guitar at a small rural music store and the owner had fitted the guitar with a trapeze metal bridge (I am not sure why). About twenty years ago I had some maintenance done at a different music store and they recommended removing the trapeze and they may have installed the plastic bridge then. 1967 Gibson LG-0 in all original condition, barely played in almost 60 years. All solid mahogany, ladder braced. Serial number starts in either 86 or 88 which makes it 1967, the year that the guitar was purchased by the current owner in the US

This is a beautiful pre-war archtop that I understand to have been made in the are of Schönbach / Luby before the second world war.

As I played in a folk rock band, I had a Fishman EQ professionally fitted by a luthier in the middle of the 90s and it reproduces the acoustic quality of the guitar very well

It took a bit of digging to find the serial numbered date (a complicated system of numbering evolution), the result is "made in Kalamazoo in 1950"
The action is really good, the manufacture is amazing for a 75 year old and after several hours of cleaning it is coming up with nice patinated glossy finish
