This model is rare in general, but this version with the painted on F holes and orange finish alá the Gretsch Nashville is not only painfully cool, but outrageously unusual. I don??t know much about this guitar but from what I can tell it??s pretty rare especially with the 5 tone switches. The swell knob works as well as the other tone controls. I??m not sure exactly how the 5 tone flip switches work but I know that they do work because the tone changes when I engage or disengage them in different combinations

Framus electric guitar knobs for tone and volume. These came off of a Framus Caravalle 5 / 117. But, they were used on a variety of Framus, Hopf, and other German-made guitars. The pair of tone and volume knobs have "T" and "V" embedded on the top with black paint in the inset. The knobs appear to be aluminum and show some wear from their 60ish years of use in the 1960s. They both have set screws which turn correctly.

When the electronics stopped working for whatever reason, I stuck an acoustic pickup in it to fiddle with, there's still some tape residue you can see. what is shown in pics is included, I know parts are missing but 26 years later this is what I have of it. Hard to find VINTAGE FRAMUS archtopTREMOLO VIBRATO tailpiece. Lost part of the surface chrome and arm. With some imagination, the arm can be reinvented. Made of very sturdy metal and very well built. Comes with the original end strap buttom (cannot be 100% verified) Nut and bolt in the middle of the tailpiece for afixing the spring is missing. If I can find the proper size hardware in the meantime, I will put it on before shipping.... more

Neck has a slight bow in it. I was planning on dropping in some carbon but it's been sitting too long and we have a move next year and I need to start parting with some stuff. Theres a chance theres a truss rod hiding behind the pickup but i seriously doubt it. The bridge looks a little wonky too, it could probably use a fresh one.

Framus Starbass 5 / 156-62 von 1964, Nummer 15981-63C, vor gut 15 Jahren bei Ebay gekauft. Damals hatte er noch einen DIN Stecker, was nervte, so wurde ein Klinkenstecker eingebaut (siehe Foto). Es funktionieren nicht alle Pick Up Wahlmöglichkeiten und der Bass ist insgesamt auch leiser als andere Bässe. Ich verkaufe meine Framus Folk Western Gitarre von der Legacy Serie.
Da ich vor einer Weile auf ein anderes Instrument umgestiegen bin, ist diese Gitarre kaum genutzt und deshalb wunderbar in Schuss. Keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren bis auf einen Fehler im Lack in den ersten beiden Bünden, diese waren aber schon beim Kauf vorhanden. Keine Ahnung wie das passiert ist. Original Framus Bass aus den 70ern, Farbe ist nicht original. Decals und Daumenstütze können rückstandslos entfernt werden. Roasted Neck in sehr gutem Zustand, polierte Bünde ohne jegliche Kerben. Steg PU ebenfalls vintage aber nicht original, passt aber sehr gut dazu. Rückseite zeigt die original Farbe. I'm selling my Framus Cobra Amplifier in excellent condition with black panel, super rare to find one
The panel is original but as you know the Cobra has very poor silver coating on it so with humidity it tends to go away creating very ugly look. This is a mod that is common on this amp. I've only applied the Groove Juice Cymbal cleanerspraying on the panel and it magically changed the color and became black leaving the writing untouched. Now it's cool!
