I love the short scale guitars from this era and sincerely believe they are a really affordable way to get into a golden era vintage Fender guitar. Neck is pencil dated 12 / 61, original factory body routes and hardware, slab rosewood fingerboard w / clay dots. 1961 Fender Musicmaster guitar. Former owner bought this in the 90??s as an original finish guitar, but it is actually a 30+ year old refinish in Dakota Red. Appears to have originally been Olympic White. Finish checking on both sides does not photograph well. Neck appears to have been over-sprayed with clear at the same time. Vintage 1978 Fender Music Master Guitar. Pickguard, pickup, pots, neck plate, and electronics are not original. Bridge saddles have also been replaced with brass saddles. Bridge is original. No extra holes and no routs in the body or neck.

It's all original and includes the original hardshell case. It looks great with lots of minor nicks + dings, belt buckle wear, a chip in the wood underneath the "A" tuning ferrule and other cosmetic wear including marks in the finish on the back of the neck made by laying on an old guitar cable in the case. ... more

I have a beautiful vintage guitar with all of its original parts. Nothing has ever been replaced except strings. I have been the sole owner since being a child. Selling my original 1957 Fender Musicmaster! It's in good condition for its age, a few plectrum marks etc but overall very clean. The electronics are all original, and the 57 stamp can be seen on the neck heal. There were contours added at somepoint in the 70s so it has been refinned in the same colour as before (desert sand)
