Here was have a one owner 1966 Olympic White Fender Jazz bass! The only this I see that has been changed is the knobs. All electronics are original. When we got the bass in, there was a short in the back pickup that we had repaired by Tom Brandtley. Other than that it has remained untouched. There is a very small piece of neck binding missing by the nut and it looks like the thumb rest has been reangled. I don??t know much about this bass, and can??t find any info on BJ guitars. What I do know if that it used to belong to the bass player from Manfred Mann??s Earth Band, as I bought it from his nephew. It was he who told me it was a genuine fender vintage pickup. 1966 FENDER JAZZ BASS :
+ finished in candy apple red, has lots of weather checking
+ matching red headstock
+ back was sanded partially off by some lunatic
+ frets are worn, but play fine
+ all original parts
+ light weight
+ plays & sounds like a CHAMP !... more

Bound maple neck with block inlays. Bullet truss rod
It's completely original and barely played at all
It looks even better in person
Black finish with white guard, chrome hardware and original strat type vol / tone knobs which are fairly rare but were factory fitted to some basses of this period
The pot codes are 1982
Selling both of my vintage jazz basses as I??m not play them. Tend to use a Gibson these days.

For sale is a Fender Jazz Bass Made in Japan, E-series serial number dating it to 1984??1987
Finished in Olympic White, now aged to a lovely cream colour. This bass shows honest cosmetic wear, including paint chips and surface marks from regular use over the years. Please study photos carefully ?? nothing is hidden

FENDER PJ-555-FL JAZZ BASS SPECIAL / BLACK / FRETLESS / MIJ /
Here we have a rare Japanese made PJ-555FL fretless Jazz Bass Special with an E serial number (1984-87).
These are superb basses and this one is in very good condition for its age. The paintwork is in really good order, it doesn't look like a 40 year old bass. 1980 Fender Jazz Bass, black, maple neck with blocks and binding, ash body, USA made, with non-original hardcase
S8 serial number, but dated to roughly 1980 by the pot codes, pickups etc. This isn't unusual as S8 serials appeared as late as 1982 - but this bass is fully 70s spec. All original electronics and comes with original thumb rest and both original ashtrays (although the ashtray screws are missing)
