These Gibson / Epiphone mutes came factory built on the two point bridges of the 60??s Thunderbirds and the Epiphone Embassy. These are extremely hard to find and will complete your Thunderbird restoration. This particular one came off a 1967 Embassy made in the Kalamazoo factory (using all Gibson parts). This Epiphone by Gibson Rock bass is the only one I've ever seen with "Epiphone by Gibson" actually inlaid on the headstock in this specific font. Most of them may be inlaid "Epiphone" but they are not inlaid "by Gibson" and if they are, they do not have this same style of font. Epiphone ET-280, made in Japan in 1972, Matsumoku factory

It is in beautiful condition, only a couple of very small cosmetic details can be seen around the body (see last couple pictures) , but it is virtually in mint condition. All frets, fretboard, neck, body, and parts in impressive condition despite being built over 50 years ago. The only bad thing is the bridge cover: it is not original, but a very similar one
