At some time the machine heads had been removed and re fitted the wrong way up, hence the two little repaired areas on the headstock. Lovely Italian made vintage guitar.
It??s just been given a new set of Ernie Ball Phosphor strings, had the machine heads and nut slots lubricated and been thoroughly cleaned.
The overall condition for a guitar of this age is great. There is a crack in the clear coat (not the wood) on the front of the body and also another scratch mark amongst other smaller marks dotted around the instrument picked up over its 60 odd years of life. The crack in the ... more

These are approximately 115mm from the centres of first to sixth tuner. They are as removed from the guitar - no cleaning has been attempted

The overall construction of the guitar is in solid condition but it does require TLC. There are cracks to the lacquer at the headstock and more significant areas of damage around the edges of the body. Has been restrung with new elixir phosphor bronze strings. Some truss rod adjustment has levelled the action and made it super enjoyable and easy to play - less spanky at topmost frets. Has a rich warm tone that you would expect from a guitar that??s 50 years old. A few tiny marks on body but not noticeable unless close up.
