Egmond Typhoon bass guitar with gig bag. Egmond bass guitars are fantastic for recording. The pickups sound microphonic and punchy. They are a great alternative to the Fender Precision or other modern bass guitars, which don??t always punch through in the mix and give that vintage 1960s feel. Vintage Egmond Toledo acoustic parlor guitar P1 model. Likely from the sixties. Made in holland. Far from perfect but has enough life to still play and carry a tune. Adjustable neck, laminate plywood construction, pick guard is a sticker, tuners are stiff and could use some oil. It looks cool. I played it for awhile, but has been hanging in my wood-shop for far too long. Theres YouTube videos of them being played and they sound decent for the quality.

So, gather up your skiffle band and ferry ?cross the Mersey! Interesting little Beatles pre-Hamburg era Egmond parlor guitar. Yes, yes, the one seen in photos of George is actually a couple years older and lacks the adhesive attached ??pickguard??. However, these little buggers definitely have that British Invasion thing going on. Of course, they have to play decently?? Sold to me as a Bass 9. It did not have Bass 9 on the headstock, which it would have had if it was a Selmer import to the UK. This and the fact that it was actually bought from Germany make me think is in in effect a Typhoon 2EBS1
