I bought this guitar about 12 yrs ago, it had been hand painted white, the pickups had been rewound and the case had been painted black :

Refinished in nitro cellulose Pelham Blue and rewound the pickups with Remington Elektrisola 43g plain enamel : the pickup covers were missing, so those were found, and the shorter polished Alnico magnets were replaced with a set of late 50??s long rough cast magnets from a P-90, one of the pots was ... more

Here??s my 1984 stingray - I??ve had since new. The paintwork started to peel off a while back. At the time, MM were experimenting with finishes; this one, unfortunately, didn??t bond well. (It was the only colour of this kind to be imported to the UK - I know because I worked for the importer!)
