I have owned this Gold Top for around 30 years, in that time I have replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncan Mini Humbuckers (still have the original pickups) and replaced the input jack and two of the volume / tone pots (I have kept the original ones as well, the serial numbers on the original pots date at 1974). There's light surface scratches seen when held up against reflective light about 3 or 4 light marks you'll see one at the top of the neck and a few on the body but no nasty stuff like gouges, dings, abrasions, scrapes, cracks etc , nothing like that at all

Bridge pickup has become microphonic, so I replaced it with one from a 2010 American Standard Stratocaster. Original frets. Little bit of life left in them. Quirky old 1972 Guyatone with a booster switch and two p90s. They run on the hotter side especially with the booster - love using the neck for jazz and there is heaps of depth and personality in the tone but it was actually intended as a rockabilly guitar. If you put roundwounds on it, it sounds great playing twangier, snarly material.

On offer is a vintage early 1970's Japan-import Epiphone Dreadnaught Acoustic FT-145 Texan guitar project. The Serial # is a six digit sequence and is '440586'. The exact dating of Japanese Epiphones is somewhat uncertain but this guitar has the early Blue label inside the soundhole as described in the following extract, with 'Made in Japan' printed on the label, indicating the guitar was made between 1972 and 1975
