A really nice vintage banjo
I will be honest I dont know a lot about banjo, I bought this with some other things from a new auction
It all seems in tact, all strings still attached
Signs of use as you can see but nothing major at all
5 string, one being shorter than the rest
Gives a nice clear and loud note

Here is my father's 5 string banjo
It is a Windsor Zither Banjo, specifically the Artiste Model 3 manufactured c1920
The metal plate on the heel reads "The New Windsor Patent Zither Banjo
A O. Windsor, 94 Newhall St. Birmingham, England "
Research tells me it is made of Brazilian rosewood with maple and ebony trim and a mahogany neck
The fingerboard has 22 frets. It is strung with 5 strings, the 5th string goes through a tunnel from fifth fret to the headstock

Needs a new skin but other than that looks to be in very good condition for age. Case has usual wear but still in good shape

This is my late father??s Banjo which he owned for a number of decades.
5 string with the original case. Is in a reasonably good condition but may benefit from some refurbishment / new strings etc
