This is a 1958 5F8 Tweed Twin chassis. Serial #A00053
Obviously, its pretty rough, but it works, and it screams.
When I got it (chassis only), it had been neglected for years and was a mess. It needed a full cap job, new 3 prong cable, fuse holder, a few of the pots replaced, 1 input jack, the rectifier socket, and little bit of wiring cleanup work.

This is an original 1959 Fender Tweed Champ amp 5F1 w / an original Jensen speaker dated to the 47th week of 1958. Its factory label is perfectly intact & dated ??IB?? for February 1959. The tweed covering is a bit tired mostly on its bottom side in need of some re-gluing. Its grill cloth is quite nice. Matched pair of 1985 GENERAL ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL 6072A electron tubes. These are NOS and NIOB. The 6072A is the industrial version of the 12AY7A that is used in the first gain stage of ALL 9 pin preamp Fender Tweed Amps. Some Amps such as the pro uses a 12AY7 in the second stage

This is a vintage 1954 Fender 5D3 Tweed Deluxe that came right before the 5E3 iteration. And yes, it still retains its original canvas cover from Victoria Luggage Company in Los Angeles, California. This vintage Bassman has the original tweed covering, grill cloth and all of the main components are original. Some capacitors have been changed. One of the speakers was bad and has been replaced, but the same style Jenson from the same year was used. It is serial number 3665 and has DL stamped on the tube chart. The speaker code is 220446 and the transformers look original. It has a replaced handle. I moved 10 years ago and this amp has been in a box for the entire time. Before I moved it was my regular gigging amp and worked perfectly. I do not want to risk blowing it up so I??m selling this as is. I??m not a technical expert but I??ve read that leaving an amp unused for any length of time can dry out the capacitors, so power needs to be restored slowly using a Variac. Hence my reluctance to turn it on.

This is a extremely clean real 1957 Fender tweed Champ, NOT A REISSUE. The speaker has been replaced with a great sounding 6" (same size as the original of this year) Weber "signature series" speaker, the electrolytic caps have been replaced. The leather strap has probably been replaced (not by me). It has that lovely "brown" sound with thick sweet distortion at very reasonable bedroom volume.
