This Epiphone by Gibson Rock bass is the only one I've ever seen with "Epiphone by Gibson" actually inlaid on the headstock in this specific font. Most of them may be inlaid "Epiphone" but they are not inlaid "by Gibson" and if they are, they do not have this same style of font. Not sure what year it was made but it has to be in the 80s since all of the 90s models I've seen have the different headstock inlay. These are extremely hard to find and will complete your Thunderbird restoration. This particular one came off a 1967 Embassy made in the Kalamazoo factory (using all Gibson parts). Is an old part of a 60??s EA-260 bass. Fully functional and in great condition, just missing the nut at the top of the neck which is an easy fix. It is a 3 / 4 bass neck so it is shorter than the average bass and is definitely a good piece for a project or collector.... more

Has sat for some time, contains nothing but the body and has a small crack at the base of where the neck would be. Is purely cosmetic damage and doesn??t cause an issue with the structure of the guitar, and could be perfectly fixed with wood glue or something like that. Imagine a Thunderbird that doesn't try to hurt you while you play it; that's the Embassy. Master volume, master tone and a balance pot instead of the Thunderbird's V-V-T. Bit noisy but it works.
