Hy-Lo Model 2103, Made by Hoshino Gakki company, later Ibanez, produced at Tama plant in Japan. This is a super rare guitar. Made from solid wood, fairly light and well balanced.
The segmented guard is very reminiscent of the early UK Burns guitar design. The trapezoid neck plate is a definite Hoshino marker. The guitar is on the light side and balances well.

Antique Mandolin BANDOLA Portland, Maine No 1358 rare. Measures 23" tall. Inside reads "THE BANDOLA MANDOLINS BANJOS AND GUITARS PATENTED . Don't know much about this guitar other than it's lived in my basement for over 20 years. All I was able to find out with the serial number is that it was made in 1983, in Japan
See pics and decide for yourself.
The paint is matte black, or it's unfinished, not sure. It's not stained or worn or anything, it just decided to leave those marks when I wiped it down with a damp rag.
