This guitar was serviced (Setup & Repair) in June 2023, by Detroit Guitar, in Birmingham, Michigan

Truss rod ~ may ~ be seized. Minimal force was used in an attempt to adjust the truss rod, however, to avoid the risk of damaging the neck, truss rod adjustment was skipped.

Unity was his own label and he built 6 instruments to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Gibson in 1994. This is a prewar Rickenbacher D12 (double 6) lap steel in very good condition. Both bakelite necks that are mounted to the cast body are in perfect condition with the number 21 stamped in the top edge of each headstock. The original tuners work well. The 1 1 / 2 inch prewar horseshoe pickups are beefy and growly. Gibson NOS Mastertone Ebony Banjo Fingerboards with RB-3 ??Leaves and Bows?? inlay pattern. These 5 fingerboards come from the Maudie Moore Estate in Kalamazoo. Maudie Moore was the Engraver and Inlay Artist at Gibson starting in 1969 and continued to work for them even after they moved to Nashville in the late ?80??s.
